IF this really becomes a toxic situation for the team and could jeopardize a title this year, do the Warriors trade Durant by the trade deadline? Why not? If you get sense that he is out this offseason to sign elsewhere, might as well trade him and get something for him.

Durant apparently has veto power so the Warriors can't trade him without his consent. That means he'd only likely want to be traded to a contender. With the way the Warriors are built, if the situation became extremely toxic, I would imagine their BEST course of action would to just deactivate Durant for the rest of the year and play it out. That way he's not opposing you this year on a real contender and you're still in shape to play for the title. Your odds definitely decrease, but Steph, Klay, Draymond and Boogie isn't anything to sneeze at either.

Trade him to Boston. You may actually get decent returns and Durant goes a to a contender. If he puts up a boohoo about it then maybe you do in fact deactivate him if he's going to be toxic to the season.

The trade market for guy that demand trades or need to be traded is highly diminished. I know it sounds great in theory, but it's not even remotely plausible. On top of that you're trading the 2nd best player in the NBA to the team everyone said is the only team that can beat yours. What would you expect Boston to give up for him? What would make it worth while for the Warriors to trade him.

You have to think about the realistic returns and the ramifications of it. Trading him to Boston would be likely the dumbest move they could do. Boston has no real way to get him in the off-season, so by trading him there, you've likely ended up your own run and solidified Boston for the next 5 years.

Unless he likes Boston and decides to stay there. Dudes a cupcake and the East is now weaker than the West so maybe he decides to stay out there.

All the more reason Boston wouldn't give up anything significant for him. There would only be two ways Boston would acquire him: 1) Low asking point or 2) Agreed upon extension.

Neither of those work to the benefit of the Warriors.

They are likely to lose KD after this season, but w/o him they're not winning a title imo.

I would dump Draymond...I think he's the root cause of anything toxic if that does exists.

Well I guess it depends on who is the problem here. If you feel most the team sides with Draymond, who was there prior to Durant, than you stick with him. Because getting rid of him and keeping Durant, or only to keep Durant for a couple more months before he moves on would be even more detrimental to the franchise moving forward.

True...from what I heard about the skirmish...Draymond was definitely the aggressor, with some of the name calling, etc. thus the suspension. KD is gone next year anyway if we believe the reports, so you don't move him (I understand he has trade veto power). Draymond you can get something for him.

I think Kerr has come around to Draymond, but I don't get the sense that he's one of his most liked players though.

GS has lost 2 out of their last 3. Are they even going to make the playoffs?

No chance, when Green is saying “we” won without you if he would look around he would see no one is standing behind him. He must have a mouse in his pocket. Durant is going anywhere, he doesn’t have the sack to go it alone.
