9 conference Games and 3 Give Me games like everyone else. I dont think he would schedule FCS because he never has outside of this weekend that a 9th game would get rid of. But even then their is pretty much Zero difference between FCS/Lower G5 teams.

I think logic would show that the FCS game would stay and a G5 game would be the one that goes. The PAC12 plays 9 conference games and 2/3rds every year manage to play an FCS, the Big12 plays 9 conference games and 70-80% plays a FCS team every year. We see a drop in the Big10’s percentage because we have a fake “ban” on them but can play them in certain circumstances.

If Saban wanted to not play an FCS team, it wouldn’t take much effort to change. He will not change until he is forced to and it is working for him now so why change?

Shit some lower P5 are the same as FCS. I believe 8 conference games and a mandatory 2 P5 is a better system than 9 and 1 for determining the best 4 teams in the country.
