Well you can jump on the AV's train with me, they seem to be growing well and McKinnon is a fucking beast!
I do have the package and can watch the Avs every game but i spent the money to watch the Flyers so i have to stick with the boys.

I
Guys like Miles Wood can actually play hockey and get dirty when he has to. I dont even know how Rinaldo is still in the league although he did have a career high with 5 goals last year.
Sn't he in Minny? Yea their in last place right now. Wonder if Dubnyck will be available later on?

It's obviously just frustrating to watch a 5-2 lead on home ice completely evaporate within only 10 and a half minutes of actual game. Our power play should've made this one way easier. That and probably our goaltending. However, it is a bit of a mystery though why Hakstol would pull Elliott when we're up 5-4. The timing is just very odd.

Nice to see Giroux and Weal get it going offensively and Simmonds continue on, but I don't think we can make the playoffs by winning games 7-4 and 6-5 all year long...Lol

That and getting games to the shootout should obviously never be a goal of ours. We just gifted the Panthers a point. Now let's hope they don't make the playoffs over us later on because of it.

I'm not really worried about Provy in the long run, but if you would've told me he'd be -5 with zero points through our first half dozen games, I would've staged an intervention and had your head examined. It's year 3 for him and we expect huge things.

Perhaps equally as mindblowing, Patrick has identical stats with far less ice time to date.

These guys are only 20 and 21 years old, so I am willing to be extremely patient with them, but the numbers are eye-popping.

This all leads to an obvious question. If Hakstol is so good with younger players, why do these kids appear to be struggling?

Numbers can definitely be deceiving. I mean, Folin was a +4 last night and Provy was a -2. Gudas is leading our defense in scoring. Need I say more!? Lol

That said, I've seen Provy fumble the puck several times this season or lose puck battles he would normally win with ease.

I think confidence is everything and he just hasn't found his yet. Once he does, he'll be an entirely different player. Even through all of this, he's still averaging 25 minutes per game. This will all work itself out eventually.

Notice how well Carolina is playing?
Brindamour is well respected and liked by his players.and they play like he did-all out.

Man for man we are better on paper than them IMO,but Hak can't get these guys to put out a 60 minute game.
Yep Brindy has them skating all out all game... I'll give him that.

Yeah I'm not panicking over Provy he'll be fine. It's amazing how much confidence plays into their games. Score a goal and all of a sudden they look great again. Weal is a good example...

Terrifying that they can look terrible in the 1st and 3rd, but dominant in the 2nd. The inconsistency is incredible. On the flip side, Florida is a good team even if their record doesn't show it. Beating them by only playing 20 minutes is a pretty solid indication of just how good they can be when they get it going. Just have to figure out how to get it going more often.

3-3 playing mostly terrible hockey. Patrick no points, Provorov looking terrible. JvR hurt. Elliot with an .874 sv% and a GAA over 4. I think if we knew that would be the situation 6 games in, we'd expect to be much worse off than 3-3. That's a silver lining to me. If those things can get turned around, they'll be in business.

Also proud of Hak for benching AMac. He was clearly their worst player through 5 games, injury related or not. Happy to see Hak make the adjustment to put the best 18 guys on the ice.

Also surprised he yanked Elliot at 5-4. Odd timing, but the right move IMO. Also called a timeout at 5-5. Is he turning a corner and actually doing something in-game to help the team?

Sitting Amac gave Folin a chance and he played really well.

Early times boys

Few bad breaks injury wise. Goaltending sucks but we knew that coming in.
Hopefully the team settles in soon

I have ZERO faith in Elliot.
Whats the story on Neuvy?
Id rather play Lyon or give Pickford a shot

Nah I think he was just scared that he was gonna get beat up by the fans if he let that game get away lol. IDK as a coach I just can't figure out his style, most coaches you can get a sense of the direction the team is being groomed, not with Haks, As a Pro coach you wold think they could see the same weaknesses and fix them?
