Yea because after another big play from the Seahawks happened, then the oline imploded racking up a few penalties in row killing the drive, didnt really have anything to do with the Rams D, now the Rams O thats the real wet inducer

So I guess defenses don't cause penalties, that is news to me. Seems to me, you only hold someone when he gets the best of you and is going to make a play. And if you are getting a false start in a home game other than the Chargers, its because of the defense matchup you are anticipating.

Id agree with you if had been happening for most of the game, but it really only happened that one drive.

Besides my original post was more shitting on the Seahawks O than the Rams D.

But yea the Rams D might be top 10, but def not the best

The Jags, bears, Ravens, and Titans are the top defenses right now I think

I haven't heard any sports analysts call the Bears top 2....It's been Jags and Ravens back and forth according to them....
I personally don't give a hoot who is top 5 even....We won SB47 with the #17 ranked D, so it don't dictate anything who is and who ain't...

ive heard alot, and the ravens in top 5...........theres no doubt bears and jags are top 2

As a long time Seahawks hater I actually viewed it as Seahawks finding a bit of them selves, running, hardish D, etc.

But when it mattered, Zip. Zilch. Nada.

I have the Jags and Rams as my top 2 defenses.

The rams have been bailed out by the offense several times this season. They are packed with talent, but they’re talent at LB will hold them back. They don’t really have an edge rusher that is worth a darn either.

I have not seen a lot of the Rams but my understanding is they give up a lot of garbage yards and points because they are pretty much beating the shit out of their opponents and are getting up big early.

The points and yards they gave up to the Vikings and Seahawks weren’t garbage. Those games were down to the wire.

I thought the Rams didn't run wild and Seattle died with at least one boot on.

If the NFL fixed games to entice viewers, this game is how they'd fix them. Because it gives Chets residing in Seattle a wee bit of hope.

But in reality.... Shut down when it mattered.

It is almost like the Rams will make play when they want to. When you allow 6 total points in the 4th quarter to Wilson, Cousins and Rivers, I would say that is pretty good. Two field goals and 3 goose eggs in 5 games.

I would not view such things as dispositive. There's logically nothing stopping me from saying the Chiefs have the best defense in the NFL with this kind of logic. Why wait until the 4th?

I guess its just a coincidence that against Phillip Rivers, Derek Carr, Russell Wilson and Cousins that they only have given up 2 field goals total in the 4th quarter. Talk about some good luck against some pro bowl quarterbacks, that not one can muster a comeback let alone score a touchdown. Some great luck there, I hope that luck stays the rest of the season.

I would say so when we're 5 games into a season and talking about 5 quarters total. The Bills beat the Vikings (and Titans lol) over 4 for god's sake.
