Texas jumps Michigan in the polls?

While I think Michigan’s chances of winning out are slim to none, unless they figure it out on offense — no chance would Texas get in over UM if both finish with 1 loss.

UM’s 1 loss would be ND

Texas’s 1 loss would be Maryland

UM would have to finish the year beating Wisconsin twice, MSU, PSU and OSU (with OSU being on the road — don’t see it happening)

plus though, add Texas would have to beat OU again. Or WVU in game two.

Not too concerned about that right now. There is a long way to go and Texas needs to improve before I start buying conference championship

oh yes indeed, not even saying Texas is going to be there. It's just the general feeling I have about it in the first place.

Hell, Baylor has a good QB and good receivers; TT scores a ton, that's always fun; WVU, well they have an excellent QB; Kansas is actually an improved team and we have to play them there. I was at the Tex/Kansas game in 2004, and we only walked out with a win because of VY By God.

So yes, every week will be a fight.

Agreed. Plus they are underrated by computers right now. Computer doesn’t realize the offense is completely different today, than that first game vs Michigan

As for Texas Ive been much more impressed with Texas than Michigan. Rankings will always be inconsistent by nature its basically opinion. I do think Texas should be ranked above Michigan. They have more quality wins. There are other team rankings that are much more questionable than this imo.

Not going to get caught up in the rankings yet. Texas is still a team that can lose to anybody. They can play with most people. Talk to me in November and I will tell you where Texas should be ranked

win out and win that game and you are in the playoffs. Win out and don't have that game and you aren't unless there are not four other undefeated or strong 1-loss teams.
