We are loaded with IEaters I would thinkI don’t mind if we renegotiate with a team option
7.5 is too much but we need a guy who can eat innings

No to Colon. What about Gallardo or Bibbs bur not Butler for sureSP like Colon?I don’t want Perez back at his option and rather have Perez over Butler so worst case scenario Perez is long relief.
2019 Ok 2020 No
I would leave him available. They are going to add Huang.
well I did the numbers and actually came up with 18 rule 5 eligible:Many are Rule 5 eligible, but not Rule 5 ready or worthy.
how long do we carry them waiting for the POP?I get the distinct feeling we will add another multi year pitcher and another one year SP plus a CF.
With us being so left handed this might be a factor on holding on to Rua, DDJ and Drew.
Regardless of the stats or the fairness of opportunity,IMO DDJ is a valuable bench asset with his speed if we are fortunate to be in the playoffs at some point Maybe there is value for someone else But a long shot to start.
Rua and Drew both have pop in their batbut it sure looks like we are developing Tocci. Maybe they can also be trade additions.
Going to have to trade from our surplus
anything over 750k would be too muchI don’t mind if we renegotiate with a team option

I just don't understand the patience of Job with DeShields that this organization has.Sounds like Rua and Drew won't be in the mix. DDJ is still being evaluated.
Surprised if Perez is retained. Young and healthy yes but time has not been good to him as it should. Hope he moves on.
I think maybe 4 of those get protected. Hearn, Feigl, Ibanez, and Heineman.well I did the numbers and actually came up with 18 rule 5 eligible:
12 Pitchers
Taylor Hearn LHP
Wei-Chieh Huang RHP
Brady Feigl LHP
Edgar Arredondo RHP
John Fasola RHP
Reed Garrett RHP
Cole Wiper RHP
Jairo Beras RHP
Emerson Martinez RHP
Adam Choplick LHP
Michael Matuella RHP
Jake Lemoine RHP
6 Position Players
Scott Heineman OF
Michael DeLeon SS
Yohel Pozo C
Ledarious Clark OF
Josh Morgan 2B/C
Andy Ibanez 2B/3B
Even Hearn is nowhere near ready for the major leagues so if he was left available I don't think any team could keep him up all year. It would ruin his development for a year though so I would go ahead and protect him.I think maybe 4 of those get protected. Hearn, Feigl, Ibanez, and Heineman.
He has talent based around speed and quickly falls off the tableI just don't understand the patience of Job with DeShields that this organization has.
well that's a little below what I thought. I came up with 7. your 4 + Arredondo, Garrett & HuangI think maybe 4 of those get protected. Hearn, Feigl, Ibanez, and Heineman.
I think if they see Reid Garrett as a bullpen piece next year then they will protect him. If not they probably don't. Arredondo is an interesting case, but he struggled in limited action at AA. Huang hasn't been impressive at all.well that's a little below what I thought. I came up with 7. your 4 + Arredondo, Garrett & Huang
well I see your point but we'll have to wait and seeI think if they see Reid Garrett as a bullpen piece next year then they will protect him. If not they probably don't. Arredondo is an interesting case, but he struggled in limited action at AA. Huang hasn't been impressive at all.
