There are several TEs that could have made that catch. One of them wore #82 for the Cowboys.
No chance. That was 100% on Dak. I think Swaim is way better than you guys give him credit for. He blocks, has decent hands and makes some plays. Not his fault he is only going to be targeted 3 or 4 times a game. He sure as hell isn't Witten in his prime or even close to it, but I don't think he is too far from where Witten would have been this year

And Earl ain't happy about it

This is exactly the scenario he was trying to protect against. Tough deal for him. Seattle is going to drop him like a bad habit after this off season and this will likely cost him a few dollars (prob not too much though) come next off season.

WR rotation. I don’t have the number of snaps but if I was guessing I would say Thompson and Austin were under 10. I never saw Brice. It seems Gallup, Hurns , and Bease are the guys. Austin will come in for special plays. I like it.

Agree completely. Silly for anyone to expect a TE to come in and play up to Witten's level. Will take a while but TE will get better.

Last week I read some reports about possible new coaches if JG gets fired. One of the names was Detroit’s OC and yes I have heard his name before but could JJ really ever hire a guy named Jim Bob Cooter to coach the Cowboys.

Amazing how much better this offense looks when Zeke is the focal point. Dak played a pretty good game against a solid pass defense. Stat line would look pretty nice if Austin catches the TD and Dak doesn't miss the throw to Swaim. Beasley was good today as well. Not sure what the hell Rico was doing on the attempted fade in the 4th, that looked ugly -- would like to see Dak get a little more arc on those throws though, too.

Defense was okay. Awuzie was getting picked on, which feels strange to say because he had good coverage on a lot of those catches -- just tough luck. Not much pressure out of the Dline beside DLaw. Where's Randy Gregory at? He does not seem to have much impact to this point. Jaylon Smith had a quiet game. Vander Esch continues to impress, he's been a lot of fun to watch so far.

All in all I thought that was a pretty good game. Not too much to complain about IMO. Looking forward to next week.

Good game today. I think the defense has come back down to Earth a little, but I think they still have some growth in them and have a good year. Looking forward to getting Irving back and think we will be much more disruptive when rushing 4 with him in there. But, with or without improved LB play we are AGAIN missing Lee. We just aren't the same team without him. Seems Thomas isn't getting many snaps now. Wonder what's up there.

Dak was just fantastic today. Yeah, he missed Swaim but that was not an easy throw. He made all the throws and showed better technique and arm strength. His decision making and his accuracy were great. BUT...that was a huge mental error to take that sack that moved us out of FG range. He can't do that in that spot and had plenty of time to get rid of the ball. But, like I said he was great today.

Big drop by Austin. Would have been great to have that one both for the game and for Dak.

Great game by Zeke. That throw and catch between he and Dak was clutch and won the game for us. He was dominant all day.

Great job by the OL. They have been taking a lot of crap this year. I thought they were great today. They got out into space, they sealed off their man to create holes and they got good push and protected Dak.

Safety play needs to be better. Awuzie needs to locate the ball better. He had good coverage today, but need to knock a few of those down. I know the announcers blamed Brown, but I thought that TD was his fault. I could be wrong but it looked like Frazier had the deep middle and he left the sideline to carry a guy into the middle instead of staying in his zone. Plus he seemed to play off his man a lot more than he has been. I love when we get our two corners right up on the line and playing physical. Byron Jones was great again. Both our nickel corners still not playing as well as I hoped but were OK.

Wonder if our run defense struggles a little without Woods in the middle clogging things up. Would be nice to have Price now. He is on Cleveland's PS:scratch:

I have to give Linehan credit. We can't blame him when the team takes no shots and runs a stale shitty game plan that doesn't work and not give him (or whoever made him) props when we have a game plan like we did today. A HUGE thumbs up for the OC today.

Garrett. What is he thinking throwing that second challenge? That was just a stupid call. He needs to give someone else the red flag. But, he takes the blame so he needs to get credit today too.

Tank...what else can you say. 3 sacks and they were 3 big sacks. Think we could have blitzed a little more to try and get at Stafford as he was picking us apart a little bit.

Was just a real good game for this team. With Philly's loss and Washington's bye we are tied for first in the win column.

I think Awuzie screwed up somehow on that last Tate TD. Not sure how but Ricard was pissed. You are correct- he seems to be all over the WRs that are making these catches. Tank might as well change his nickname to BANK too. I stoled that off Twitter, I cant take the credit.

That TD to Tate late in the fourth was Brown's fault. Brown should have carried Tate further up the field. Brown was the outside man and just kinda floated towards the middle. Brown seemingly had no other responsibilities it looked to me like he just drifted and got lost.

Defense was not ok today. Stafford sliced the defense up. And they did thier usuall, fail to hold a lead in the end. Good thing they were so bad, Detroit scored so quickly, we had plenty of time to score. LV and DLaw played well.

The pass to Zeke was huge and obviously set us up. I thought the best play Dak made was when he scrambled a little on 3rd down and threw the side arm pass to Beasley to make it 4rth and 1. Of course we went and it led to a TD.

There was no one in front of him on that entire side of the field, so yes he should have dropped a little bit deeper, but he was supposed to have deep help there. Whoever had the deep sideline is the one who messed up. As I said, I thought it was Awuzie and not Frazier but I certainly could be wrong

The D had given up only 17 points to a pretty good QB up to that point. Stafford has a great arm and is pretty accurate, a lot of the catches Awuzie gave up were good coverage that were beat by better catches and throws. If Brown doesn't blow that coverage maybe Dallas holds them to 17. It wasn't all that bad.

If u have ever seen the movie Tin Cup - it is said that Roy McAvoy is a tremendous ball striker. I think a similar thing can be said about Stafford. That guy can flat throw it.

Who knows. Miscommunication for sure regardless. I didn't see how it was Browns responsibility deep but doesn't matter to me which guy it was. Team effort. I assume we'll find out at some point this week. Doesn't really matter to me other than this team still struggles with communication in zone. Someone always seems to pop open. Important thing is we won.

Great movie. But QB'ing is like golfing...sometimes you roll back into the water when you don't play it smart...

We won't know for sure, doubtful anyone gets Richard on record as to what was suppose to happen. If it were 3 deep and Brown is the outside CB on that side of the field, Brown should have carried the WR all the way. Who knows?
