Was Saturday worse than when they decided to let in Rutgers and UMD? Probably a toss-up as to worst day ever

I'm still disappointed the BigTen added Maryland & Rutgers.

How would adding two teams that help bring the conference more money be a bad day? Regardless of how awful they are, they still helped everyone else in the conference get PAID.

Silly Turkey

The way those two teams play on the field means nothing compared the money being brought in. At the end of the day, that's what matters.

How bad is Texas if they lost to this pathetic Maryland team?

how bad is USC if they lost to the same Texas team?

Winning doesn't matter. It is all about revenue, revenue, revenue. Whoever generates the most revenue is the best. Piss on the CFP playoffs.

As examples, I offer up Texas A&M and the University of Texas. They are the bestest. Don't win shit but generate the most revenue. Rich agnuts and rusty cows.

The real question is - How good is this Buffalo team that beat Temple by 7? They might beat USC by 6-7 TDs.

Adding Rutgers and MD was a no brainier. Not only for revenue purposes, but also for two automatic conference wins for anybody of worth in that conference. Playing a 9 game conference schedule doesn't mean much when those extra games are versus MD and Rutgers. On top of a conference with NW, Illinois, Purdue, Nebraska(for this year anyway) and IU and Minnesota.

I get exactly what you are saying and agree with most of it. But it’s a whole different feeling knowing you are in the East and have 3 or 4 Of Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State yearly. That in itself is absolutely no cake walk no matter what. Add in a nearly 50% chance to play Wisconsin yearly too and that can be very tough.

The rundown you just did, you can do that with any conference. There's no conference out there that's filled with juggernauts. Basically all of them are half crap.

Agreed, but even the crap teams usually beat MAC teams, Sun Belt teams and bad AAC teams.

So do the crap B1G teams. What's your point?

My point is they aren't this year. Losing to EMU, Akron and Temple this year is embarrassing. I think Troy is an okay team so I'll let that slide somewhat. I guess I bought into the hype Because I thought the B1G would have a much better OOC.
