Sure no good wins but losing by 7 at a top 10 ND team isn't a disqualifier. People get to worked up by singular results and try to read too much into them. Realistically we won't really know much about half the FBS until week 6 or 7 at earliest

We aren't any good, and we completely controlled Michigan. Hell Ball State and Vandy were much more competitive against ND than Michigan was.

Sure but none of those teams were realistic NY6 contenders anyway . NW had the highest expectations and they were picked 3rd in the weaker division. I'm not saying the league has performed well. It hasnt. I'm just saying nothing has changed from week 1 with the possible exception of Wisky being able to make the playoff ( and I'm mor even sure on that). The 4 East teams would all still get in by winning out . A few of then gave just lost their buffer

The league has performed like shit. I didn't expect Michigan, MSU and Wisconsin to lose OOC. And honestly given the way ND has played, and how BYU has played those look like bad losses, especially the manner in which they went. I'll take a wait and see approach with ASU.

Meh. Ohio State didn't play it's best game and still managed a ranked win on the road. Dont much care about the rest

The B1G has toppled for sure. It's basically looking like a rich man's ACC this year, with Ohio State at the top and then some decent but definitely not great teams after.

I’m a big ten fan and talking about past yrs is a waste of time. Big ten is off to a pathetic start this yr
Meh, they get to start playing each other now so that'll help get 'em the conference perception back on track.

Horrible week for the B1G. Looking like 4th best conference this year which wasn’t what we thought preseason.
Sarge, you are going to lose your B1G homer card if you keep up with objective statements like this.

Come on man. Get your B1G homer juju going.

Akron beat Northwestern....

Their last win over a Big Ten opponent was a 12-6 win over Ohio St. in 1894.

124 years ago!

Wasn't Ohio State a member of the mighty North Coast Athletic Conference then?

The Big Ten (or Great Western Conference) wasn't formed until 1896, and at that point, Northwestern wasn't even a part of it.

Well if you want to go back to where it all started I guess we should start when the Earth cooled, and meteors containing the building blocks of life started impacting the young cooling planet....

Well okay, but it will still be a long time from that point before Akron beats a Big Ten team ....

Wish I could give this post the "Useful" rating. :suds: Not sure why that rating is available in some of the subforums (e.g. Entertainment) but not other subforums on SportsHoopla.

As bad as Wisconsin's loss was I still think Maryland's is worse.

Temple just lost to Villanova and Buffalo and Maryland gets boatraced by them.

Rutgers every knows sucks anyways so who cares.
