Iowa should win 10 games. If they get a couple breaks they could easily go 11-1 or 12-0. Lights out defense, great OL, best TE combo in CFB 3 solid backs. Really comes down to Stanley and protecting homefield. That said I wouldn't classify them in that group until they make it through PSU unbeaten. Not likely but not impossible

Best TE combo in CFB...if there is a tallest midget combo this is it.

Sure I agree . I'm just saying you caht really judge that yet. Sure some of the teams we thought would be ok to good aren't ( NW, Purdue) but there's teams in the league playing far better than expected too. It's not like anyone actually thought Maryland, Nebraska or Rutgers were going to be good .

I'm failing to see who's really playing better than expected though? I guess Indiana?

He's saying you just have to wait until they rack up wins against Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue, etc., and then they'll be 'good' and then we can all be shocked when they lose in a bowl game.

IU, Minnesota, Iowa ( I think most people thought we'd be 3-0 but the D haa been far better than anticipated ). NW, Purdue were both expected bowl teams but not looking like it now. Really the only 2 surprise results from the top of the league are Wisky losing and ( to a lesser extent ) MSU losing. That said neither of those 2 are finished. If either finish 12-1 they'll have a great shot to make the playoff.

Hell, if that's the criteria the SEC has 5-6, they all can't win out...
Well sure. I'm trying to be realistic. I mean 13-0 Minnesita gets in too but I'm trying to use common sense lol

The B1G had 5 top 15 teams in the preseason, 3 of them have already lost before conference play, all were favorites to win in those losses. The middle/bottom of the league has been awful. IU, Minnesota and Iowa are undefeated, so I'll give them credit for that, but there's nothing of substance there.

If those are your B1G contenders I stand by what I said, the SEC has 5-6 contenders. Actually, I take that back, if you think Michigan is a contender I say the SEC has 7 or 8 contenders. The teams Michigan has beaten are a combined 1-5 and the team they lost to has struggled to beat Vanderbilt and Ball State. Michigan is not a contender.

Horrible week for the B1G. Looking like 4th best conference this year which wasn’t what we thought preseason.

Its week 3 man . Too early to tell what's a good win or a bad loss. Gotta let it play out a bit first

Losing to teams like Eastern Michigan, Akron, and Temple are for sure bad losses.

Sure no good wins but losing by 7 at a top 10 ND team isn't a disqualifier. People get to worked up by singular results and try to read too much into them. Realistically we won't really know much about half the FBS until week 6 or 7 at earliest

Sure but none of those teams were realistic NY6 contenders anyway . NW had the highest expectations and they were picked 3rd in the weaker division. I'm not saying the league has performed well. It hasnt. I'm just saying nothing has changed from week 1 with the possible exception of Wisky being able to make the playoff ( and I'm mor even sure on that). The 4 East teams would all still get in by winning out . A few of then gave just lost their buffer

Michigan is an 7-9 win team...book it. Patterson is only going to get worse as he plays teams that can actually pass rush and the Michigan offensive line is pedestrian at best.

I would love for them to make the playoffs...I just pray we are the opponent.
