Overheard in Big Ten conference boardroom after last weekend:

"They got us," Jim Delany said of the G5's wins over the B1G. "That fucking G5 boomed us."

Delany added, "They're so good," repeating it four times.

Delany then said he wanted to add G5 members to the list of teams they bowl against this winter.

What a terrible day for the Big Ten! Nebraska loses to Troy, Maryland loses to Temple, Rutgers loses by about 40 to Kansas, Wisconsin loses to BYU. Whoa. Here's hoping it gets capped off by an Ohio State loss to TCU.

Not every conference plays cupcakes like Middle Tennessee and Austin Peay ever week.

Whatever. Bout time the B1G gets shut out in a playoff game, right?

ACC has been better than the B1G for the last few seasons.

Agreed. I think it’s safe to say we’re all tired of a B1G team getting clubbed like a baby seal and shutout in the playoff.

The B1G has played cupcakes and has lost. Eastern Michigan, Temple, Akron and Kansas say hi.

Meh. Ohio State didn't play it's best game and still managed a ranked win on the road. Dont much care about the rest

I got to watch enough to see that I would be concerned if I was an Ohio State fan. Your offensive lne is big and slow and flat footed. Somebody with a pass rush is going to rock you this year. Based on the rest of the conference it probably won't happen til the playoffs, but it will happen.

They will continually get better. A lot of movement to new positions to fill in holes from departing players from the year before. Michael Jordan had a horrific game at center but he is a heck of a player so I would expect improvement. Was there a lot of things I didn't like? Absolutely, but in the end I take the positive in that they made a lot of mistakes and still were able to beat a good team away from home

Reminds me a lot of 2014. The o-line was awful at the beginning of the year (primary reason for the loss to VaTech - along with a surprise QB in JT Barrett 2 weeks before plus horrific coaching by Tom Herman and Urban Meyer). By the end of the year, those guys were killing everyone, including Alabama and Oregon in the playoffs.

It's always hilarious when Ohio State fans crack on SEC team's schedules.

Minus the fact temple and Kansas have already lost to an fcs team. Lmao.
At least Kansas is getting quite a bit of cash from conference TV deal to lose to an FCS school.

Temple is getting peanuts...just like all G5s.

I watched the game as well. Ohio State won because of a couple reasons.

1 - Near the end of the third quarter, TCU beat themselves.

2 - Ohio State has better athletes and more depth and that finally began to show in the fourth quarter.

To be fair, Patterson can put together solid defenses with lesser talent.

I've decided to lol st most of the rest of the league . I doubt care they lost. Iowa won and the D is ridiculously good ( especially the DL ). Iowa has given up 25 yards rushing in the last 2 games. Combined. Abd they're sacking the QB on the regular. Badgers will be a good test to see just how elite the DL is. Too bad they lost Saturday. Wouldve been nice if they were coming in unbeaten but in any event whoever wins this game will likely win the West and get a shot at OSU

Or perhaps Penn State.... the Nits look like they're improving, and Ohio State has to go to Happy Valley Sept. 29. And of course, Both Iowa and Wisconsin must go to Happy Valley this season.

Was Saturday worse than when they decided to let in Rutgers and UMD? Probably a toss-up as to worst day ever

Did you see the Heisman House commercial on Saturday w/ Mayfield?
