This last homestand should be a good test for the Braves. 3 against the Nationals, 3 against the Cardinals, and 4 against the Phillies. Hopefully, the Braves can start to play as well at home as they do on the road.

I don't think so, and when we sign Harper, there's still no room. Riley is trade bait IMO.

I haven't got to watch any of them, but a 3 game sweep in San Fran with lights out pitching. Didn't see that coming.

But I really wish we would have buried the Nats more when they were struggling.

And I don't know how a team can be so good on the road but be so mediocre at home.

The season is short enough now that if we just take one game from the Nats, it's a huge blow for their chances.

And I've been as hard on him as anyone, but Folty is having a hell of a season. Real good shot at getting over 200 strikeouts with a sub 3 ERA that would be even lower if the official scorer gave Dansby an error on a routine play that would have ended the inning, but he bobbled, and somehow the batter got a hit and then a grand slam added 4 earned runs to his ERA that don't need to be there.

Their pitching was great for a while, even their bullpen went on a month long stretch of greatness. Seems all of them have come back down to earth now. Even Nola hasn't been as sharp as he was earlier in the season, and while Arrieta hasn't had a bad season, I don't think he was as good as they had hoped. I think they saw Nola-Arrieta as the next Hamels-Halladay.

yeah, the #3-#5 guys in their rotation aren't good. Bullpen is okay. They just have too many weaknesses on that team.

Pivetta, Efflin and Velasquez are coasting to the finish for sure. When they went on their run and took the division lead, their whole rotation was on fire. It burned out quickly, and the team has tanked since. Their pen is running on fumes at this point.

One thing about our team is we are capable of winning an offensive shootout if the pitching isn't there. With the Phillies, if they don't homer, they don't score.

Folty finally figured it out for the most part this year and its been fun to watch.

Yeah, the Nats are two games above .500 on September 13th. They also ended up being sellers.

Its going to take a worse collapse than 2011 for the Nats to win the division.
