Ballage will need to learn to hold on to the ball better. There was no need to try to hurdle the guy. He had the first down already. It's a learning experience for him. Better now in preseason than in the regular season.
I agree completely. What I like the most about what the cameras caught from that scenario was the exchange he had with the RB coach -- he immediately went towards Ballage and gave him some coaching points. I hope the rest of our coaching staff sees that and follows his lead about holding players accountable for their mistakes - not just let them go back to the sidelines and say nothing to them.
