This from Scott Lucas:

Jonathan Hernandez offered his best AA start to date, still a little off in his control but otherwise dominant. In roughly the same number of innings as last year, he's struck out an additional 12 and allowed 36(!) fewer hits. He's also walked a few more and surrendered more homers, mainly because of a few rough starts in AA.

A.J. Alexy ranks third in the system in strikeouts but has a better rate than both guys ahead of him:

1. Jonathan Hernandez, 122 SO, 26.9% rate
2. Tyler Phillips, 111 SO, 24.7%
3. A.J. Alexy, 110, 28.5%

Alexy has also has six consecutive starts with two or fewer walks. Lack of control has limited his success and ability to work deeper into games, so his 8% walk rate in this span is of greater importance than his strikeouts, which have always come in abundance. It's been an encouraging season for the second piece in the Yu Darvish trade.

Hopefully from the group of Hernandez, Alexy, Phillips and Hearn we can find a legitimate #3 and #4 starting pitcher. Then between Crouse, Winn, Ragans, and Palumbo we can get an Ace and a #2.

In 1961, was in NY on the way overseas. Got to see the Yankees beat the Senators. Little did I know, the Senators would someday be my favorite MLB team ever. GO RANGERS
