Agree 100%...since DEN smacked him around in that SB game...the blueprint has been pretty clear.

When you get the opportunity to hit him...make it count. I've long felt Shula's OFC was very limited and maybe Cam's skillset made it that way. I was a little surprised they got as much production from McCaffery as they did, but it was either him or Funchess, not much in between.
Cam should be transitioning more into a pocket passer as he gets older. They have to develop DJ Moore, Curtis Samuel and McCaffrey into an offense that is passing all of the time. Spread everyone out and then use Cam's arms and legs to take advantage of the wide open spaces.

I'm not sure they have a single above average offensive line player, though. They let their only good one go in the offseason last year. Not sure if you can consistently win in the NFL with a routinely below average oline and young skill players.

Let's see how he does this season when defenses have had time to really look at him and prepare for him. Happens all the time. I'm not saying you don't have good reasons to be very optimistic on Garoppolo but he's got to be able to do this year as much as last year to be taken seriously.

I think it may take more than those few games. Shanahan has barely used the playbook. They were running a skeleton offense under Garapolo because there wasn't enough time to learn the offense. There will be much that hasn't been seen yet

Bingo...you've nailed it.

Steve Young ran a lot prior to getting to the 49ers...a lot of it out of necessity...then became a pocket passer that could run. Randal Cunningham was an outstanding athlete in PHI, much better pocket passer as a Viking.

This option crap was okay when Cam was a whipper snapper, but now approaching 30, if they expect him to finish out this contract and perhaps one more deal, they need to get away from so many designed runs from their QB. IMO Cam needs to sink or swim as a pocket QB that can use his legs to extend drives, etc...not being a 700+ yd running playmaker.

Without any defining criteria the order of these top 10 list are all over the place, but a bit surprised to see Luck as a top 5. His recent injury kept him off my top 10 entirely, but clearly a top 10 talent if healthy.

I'm right, Dak is not a good QB. There's nothing wrong with my list at all. If you have any actual input, by all means I'll happily discuss. Since you're only able to run your mouth and not provide any level of feedback, you can just sit there stewing in your tears about your shit QB then.
I gave input and feedback. Your list was horrible. I explained why. You thinking Dak is a shit qb makes me feel better about Dak as our qb because of your intelligence level.

I fully expect him to have some struggles this upcoming season. History shows that even great QBs regardless of how long they've been in the league take some lumps in their 1st year as a starter before they take off. The fact that he does have about a half season of games under his belt will help mitigate some of those struggles.

Defenses having a book on him is a relevant point but I feel it's being overblown. The book on Brady is 18 years old and it's not like that's stopped Brady from being great QB.

When it comes to Jimmy G I can see him having long-term success because his release is one of the quickest in the league and he's accurate not to mention he can quickly process information which are all things that just won't matter how much film defenses have on you.

I think Jimmy G has looked great so far but I'm just trying to dampen the wild enthusiasm. ;)

How could you put Goff ahead of Wentz or Russel Wilson. Goff has been good Wentz has been MVP material?

Nick Foles is top 10...on the New York Times best-seller list with his new book, "Believe It: My journey of success, failure and overcoming the odds".

Dak Prescott is top 10...among fantasy sleepers at running back. When Zeke slaps another woman, Dak is going to slide over into his true position and really blossom running the ball next season.

Seems most people here agree Jimmy G will completely suck

Id like to be on record as believing the complete opposite

I agree with you as well. I do not think he is going to suck. Based on what I have see so far I think he will be very good but have to chuckle at the lists that have him in the top 10.

Well, originally it was just the overall player, but it has spiraled out from there.

I think Cam gets a bad rap as a passer given his scheme and overall weakness of his pass-catchers in recent years.

Yep... notice not one person has Dak in their top 10 and everyone listed Wentz
