I truly think the Spurs trade him to the Clippers or they don't trade him at all. The offers are shrinking from what I'm seeing.
I pray this doesn't happen.

Give up Harris, SG-A and Robinson to have him walk across the hall next year?

Nah....

"The Lakers are heard to be offering only one-year deals to maximize their cap space for the summer of 2019."

i take solace in 3 things.

1. The Cavs won a championship in grand fashion completing the biggest comeback in the history of the NBA and one of the biggest in the history of sports to break Cleveland's streak.

2. LeBron will be 34 in December and has more miles on him than any pro athlete in history at his age. (that being said he is a freak and the normal rules don't apply).

3. There is no way in fuck he keeps his Finals streak going this year, and the Lakers may not even make it out of the first round.

I hope Philly just says fuck it, YOLO.

Saric, Covington and a pick?
thats really not a shit ton for them to give up, and unless the Spurs REALLY REALLY love Ingram its just as much if not more than the Lakers can offer.

Covington is basically a poor man's Kawhi--- very good defender, solid 3 pt shooter. Saric is precisely the type of euro-scrapper that Pop loves and he can shoot....and any pick the Sixers have i think would be better than any Lakers pick.

I agree on everything but the 1st round knockout.

LeBron proved he alone is good enough to win a series against teams with a better supporting cast on paper.

Depending on who they draw, they could get to the 2nd round.

As currently constructed, no way they make the Finals unless the Warriors and Rockets have catastrophic injuries.

If the Lakers don't get another big name FA before next year & LeBron gets this team into the the playoffs it will only enhance his legacy. Oh yeah & stop w/ the Final nonsense. Nobody is expecting that out of them next year.

Yeah.....I just see Embiid and Kawhi's personalities clashing like oil and water.

He seems to be a low-key guy.....which is at odds with wanting to be a Laker.

So, maybe he and Joel could work.

yah thats why i said hes not making it to the Finals. No one should expect it out of them. With no George, and so far no Kawhi, they are highly unlikely to even make the Conference Finals, and as i said, will be hard pressed in the first round.

If I were to rank the Lakers players right now I would go:

1. LeBron

then their is a chasm the size of the grand canyon.

2. Ingram
3. Caldwell-Pope
4. Ball
5. Kuzma

the Lakers have very very little 3pt shooting. Defensively they are decent. Its highly doubtful Randle is back since that would require a multi year deal and would eat into cap space for a high level all star.

If the Lakers do not get Kawhi- which is still on the table- but if they dont- i am not sure who i would pick to win a series against the Pelicans, Thunder, Twolves--- let alone the Rockets and Warriors.

It will make me feel better seeing LeBron lose the earliest he has lost in a long long long long time.

Funny that you bring this up now and not when he was with the Cavs.

Don't worry CL. It will be as bad as you expect it to be for the next 4 years.:D It's gotta hurt just a little bit to have LeHollywood in LA-LA Land for you.

yah its very hard to tell--- sometimes having an outspoken guy takes the pressure of a low key guy though. Kind of like LeBron and Lovei n Cleveland. Love isnt a big media guy and hedidnt have to be with such a personality like leBron on the team.

If you are Kawhi and get traded to the Sixers- and go to the Finals- which i think they would do---- and then in the offeason you can either sign a max for more money to stay with Embiid and Simmons, or take a discount to go play with a 35 year old LEBron in LA, what would you do?

I think it would be a hard decision for him. I could see him go to LA or i could see him stay in Philly.

Unless you are basing your rankings on potential, switch 4 and 5.

Kuzma is currently better than Ball.

If/When Lonzo learns to shoot?

He will pass Pope and Kuz.

With that shitty free throw %, he's holding on for dear life not to get bumped by Lance Stephenson.

Ditto for Hart.

I always said that as a Cav. I also said its hard to judge LEBron on the same standards as other guys since hes a freak of nature. I dont think the normal rules apply to LeBron.

However, he has already played WAY more games than Michael ever played. He has already played way more games than MAgic ever played. He has already played way more games than Bird ever played.

Kobe started breaking down about age 34.

As i said, i think LeBron will be the best player in the world for 2 more seasons- but really anything is on the table as we are in unchartered waters with him, his minutes and games played, and for the way he invests and takes care of his body.

Its anybodies guess how it will go.
