Just tip the ball for the regular season already. This is excruciating.

They pretty much can't add anything else unless it is through trade

If they stretch Deng and get rid of Randle, they're back under the cap and can add more players. I think the number is somewhere in the mid to high teens. The Stephenson deal fits under an exception rule so its not gonna hamper them much. Boogie is probably out the question though unless he's not getting much love from any one and wants to take a "prove it" contract in LA. It's not likely but somewhat possible given his injury status.

Unless they somehow get rid of that Deng contract. Going to be hard to do

There have maybe 3 roster spots open, unless some pieces are traded.

PG: Lonzo, Caruso (2 way)
SG: KCP, Hart, Svi, Newman (2 way)
SF: Ingram, Lance, Deng
PF: Lebron, Kuzma
C: Randle (cap hold), McGee, Zubac

That's 11 of 15 (2 way aren't part of the 15), and they're at about 85.5M + Randle's 12.4M cap hold = 97.9M, That's assuming McGee's vet min is signed last and that Lance is signed into their room exception later as well). If they stretch Deng, that opens up another 11.8M, putting the total at about 86M, about 16M to spend. If they can dump Deng's contract completely with draft picks and cash, that makes about 23M in room. I imagine they may hold a roster spot for a league min contact to see if Melo gets stretched and waived, so that's anywhere from 4M to 23M to spend on 3 more guys. If they decide to offer Capela instead of Randle, they have room to do so by at least stretching Deng.

Raptors probably make the finals this past season if not for Lebron

I doubt that very much. They struggled in the 1st round with a mediocre Wizards team. I still think Boston would've beaten them. The Raptors are notorious for underachieving in the playoffs.

“We will always remember the evening of June 19, 2016 as the Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James, ended the 52-year drought delivering the long elusive championship that many thought they would never see... A championship that united generations of Clevelanders, both living and passed.

Virtually anyone with roots in Northeast Ohio paused and felt the memories of the past and the utter joy that the burden of the so-called ‘curse’ was finally a thing of the past. Cleveland, Ohio was the home of a championship team for the first time since 1964. Words do not express the meaning and the feeling this accomplishment brought to the people of Northeast Ohio.

None of this would have happened if LeBron James did not agree to come back home and lead the Cavaliers to the promised land. The entire Cavaliers franchise thanks LeBron for that precious moment and for all of the excitement he delivered as he led our team to four straight NBA Finals appearances.

LeBron is a family man, first. We wish his kids, his wife Savannah, his mother Gloria, and LeBron himself nothing but the best in the years and decades ahead. LeBron’s connection to Akron, Cleveland and all of Northeast Ohio will most certainly endure as his commitment to the region and his support of many important causes has been impactful to so many kids and families.

LeBron, you came home and delivered the ultimate goal. Nothing but appreciation and gratitude for everything you put into every moment you spent in a Cavaliers uniform. We look forward to the retirement of the famous #23 Cavs jersey one day down the line...”

@WiggyRuss the floor is yours. Just don't go Dan Gilbert on us bud
lol.....hey did you see Dan's statement? It was the picture of restraint....i am suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure it was what he was really thinking too.

I was pretty much resigned to this starting back on Thursday after things I was hearing.

I just hope they dont try and win next year and they go into a rebuild---- though it might not be a bad idea to at least START the season trying to win to drive up the value on some guys before hopefully a house cleaning at the deadline.

At least the cupboard is not ENTIRELY bare like last time and they should have pretty clean books starting after this year-besides Clarkson and Thompson- and each of those guys will be on 1 year deals.

Id trade Korver if I could get anything for him. Guy still shoots over 40% from 3, and had a couple really good playoff games where he actually played defense.

I dunno....its definitely a time to regroup and reflect on the last 4 years of seeing LeBron here, winning a ship and going t othe Finals four times.
