Assuming the Lakers don't get Kawhi, I see them finishing anywhere from 4-6 in the West

I doubt the roster looks like this, they will add a couple key pieces but they need another big piece...Capela, Cousins, etc.

They pretty much can't add anything else unless it is through trade

Way better? It is far from finished but they have a lot more young talent that could vastly improve this season. The West is tougher though so

The Lakers will be the 1 or 2 seed in the west. Houston chances just ended with bron joining the Lakers. They had their chance and then Chris Paul showed up with his bad timing injuries.

Yeah can't see them doing much if it doesn't include acquiring Kawhi.

As they currently stand, I think they're a 4-6 seed who can possibly not win a series in round 1.

West will be interesting. At the moment, I see 10 teams who can make the playoffs.

Likely another year where 47 or 48 wins is required to get the 8th seed
