So frustrated by the lineup decisions by Boone

Aaron Hicks absolutely should never bat 5th, this guy is a 4th OF and if they are for some reason not able to recognize that, he should be buried in the order

Didi has one good game in 2 months and sure as shit I knew they would slot him in the 3 hole last night

Yuk

Bird is the purest hitter in line up, barring injury, 3 slot, leave him alone! All this experimenting, he will lose his players!

Tonight we get to see Snell strike out Tyler Austin 3 times cause they still think that position should be a straight platoon

LOL. Literally the shittiest hitter in the lineup, with little to no track record of being "good". What type of kool-aid do they have you Yankee fans drinking?

He was solid late last year and in the playoffs last year and that tends to stick in people's minds. If history is any indication he'll pick it up soon and then get hurt.

I know I know. I go round and round with Dirt on this. It's like Greg Bird has his own propaganda machine in NYC. Usually you have the great production and then the hype like Sanchez and Judge. Bird seems like he got the hype and we're still waiting on the great production.

It may or may not come, but its more scouting reports from scouts that have no bias towards the Yankees, and expectations by the best front office in baseball, that has people hopeful on Bird

Injuries continue to deter us from seeing what he is or isnt, theres' been good and bad in every small sample...Whether its an over .400 OBP in the postseason with some huge at bats last year, or when he first came up and mashed for a short time, or even now with his struggles, in 13 games, his 3 HR project to almost 40 HR over 162

We will see

extrapolating 13 game sample sizes to 162 games is dumb

I think Bird can be a good hitter... it's just a matter of him being able to stay on the field. Right now, that looks like a legitimate concern.

Ockimey with a double and home run, getting his OPS above .900 in AA. Not bad for a 22-year-old. Nice to see his power starting to translate better. Of course, he needs to since he's most likely a 1B/DH. Would like to see him cut down a bit more on the K's as well, but at least he draws a lot of walks.

Another SHUTOUT loss

I was walking around demanding that Showalter be fired two and half years ago.
It seems like he is immume to criticism. I have just given up on the crusade.

He built a team identity of never walking, never stealing a base, never bunting, always swinging at 3-0.
Whenever the Orioles find someone who can go opposite field, or deep counts, Buck either benches him or runs him off.

The Orioles have scored 10 runs less than every team in the national league with pitchers batting.

HALF-PRICE pizza everywhere in the Baltimore/Washington corridor if the Orioles score 5 runs.
They have failed to reach 5 runs in 18 of their last 19 games. Everyone is losing weight thanks to expensive pizza.
