Devers finally came through with an RBI double. Campbell also has two doubles tonight

Bench his ass. I think he pouting because he's not playing 3rd anymore. Can't trade him or cut him but see how he likes sitting on his ass for all nine innings
No need to get carried away. He’s already been(essentially) benched by going from 3B to DH. Maybe he’s having a rough adjustment to that? Who knows. But he didn’t forget how to hit over the Winter. He has one of the most lethal bats in the game. Just keep running him out there. He’ll be fine.

Nice DP to get Crochet out of the inning. Great outing tonight.

Nobody was beating Gallen last night. Rodon I thought settled in nicely after the rough start, but the damage was done.

Volpe has 4 hits on the season, all homers :noidea:

Gallen is a damn good pitcher. They did a really good job with that trade (Marlins got Jazz). Jazz is a solid player, but the D-Backs have Marte and Perdolo in the middle infield anyway

When he's got it going he is next to impossible to square up. Dbacks are pretty freaking good-they just have the misfortune of playing in the NL west.

Yeah I think they're gonna be pretty good this year. Not enough to keep up with LA, but I feel pretty good about them grabbing a WC. They had a really good offense last year (115 wRC+) and that was with Carroll having a disappointing 2024. They lost Walker and Pederson (who is a platoon player, albeit a good one). They replaced the former with Naylor, who while I think it's a downgrade it's not a major downgrade. The pitching was disappointing, but they dealt with injuries and they've added Burnes. I think Pfaadt is going to have a much better 2025, his FIP and xFIP were both a full run or more below his ERA.

Another homer for Campbell today. Bregman (whom also hit 2 doubled) and Casas also joined in.
