Red Sox signed LHP Garrett Crochet to a six-year, $170 million contract extension through 2031.
Advice: The extension starts next year and buys out five seasons of free agency, though Crochet can opt out before the last of those. According to MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand, the deal lacks a no-trade clause, but Crochet will get $2 million if dealt. He can also earn an extra $2 million per year from 2027-31 in incentives based on Cy Young balloting

If you are replacing Dominguez in LF in the top of the 7th in a 2 run ballgame then he probably shouldn't be playing LF

Way too early and way too close of a game to lose his bat due to him not being good in LF

He made a nice play early on. He needs time and experience out there and he needs to build his confidence. Stanton can do nothing but DH. If you make the payoffs and Stanton is healthy you are going to throw Dominguez into the outfield after DHing him most of the season or sit him? I never have an issue with pulling a guy for a better defender late just like I have no issue pinch hitting for a guy with a better hitter.
