If I have the first pick I would take Ayton, although a Booker-Young backcourt would be crazy. Since the Suns usually have the worst luck possible with the lottery, Young may actually be the most realistic option. I think Ayton, Bagley, and that Euro kid will be the first three off the board.

Get rid of Knight and go with Payton. He's a poor man's Rondo.

No, I mean this Summer.

Thomas can forget a buyout.

Needs to shut his trap. Demanding to start and there's 30 games left. He needs to concentrate on recovering......I still don't think he's 100%. He'd be perfect coming off the bench for the Lakers.

You think it will be Klay?

The way Bell looks, I think they will deal Draymond to get off Iggy's money.

Not sure what is going on with Mccaw.

But, he isn't the Iggy/Livingston replacement I thought he would be.

Fair point, they may make moves anticipating things, and they aren't stupid. I like Bell but not sure he brings what Dray does. Just my gut feeling, teams just can't win 4 in a row in today's NBA, where the other teams are so fluid and stars move around forming superteams every year.

The problem with midget IT is no matter how much he helps your offense, he's so bad on D (not all his fault, he's just too short) that you don't get any better. Not if you want to be a legit playoff team. He's going to be sad when he sees his contract next year.
Agree.

But, Detroit is already a borderline playoff team.

He wouldn't make them more than a perennial 6-8 seed.

But, they are in Cap hell, with very little options by paying Blake, Drummond, Reggie, Leur, Galloway, Ish 97 million next year.

They are hardcapped.

So, midlevel of 9 mil per for Thomas isn't the worst option.

If you can get IT to take that deal, no question.

Well, I wouldn't pay Len.

So, Ayton would be perfect.

Love Bagley.

But, Damn....

Please, no more power forwards...lol

Not necessarily on the buyout.

IT has cost himself a lot of money. Imo, he has 2 options with the Lakers. He can be a good citizen, play well off the bench (or in the occasional spot start) and start getting some of that money back.

Or

He can keep running his yap, the Lakers will buy him out and he'll be lucky to get a vet minimum in the off-season.

I guess we're done thinking Spurs Warriors in the WCF? Want your avi now? :heh:

Not yet. They still didn't declare Leonard out for the season. If that happens then yes I'll be done thinking that. Also waiting to see if they get involved in the buyout market

He and Book make a long ass backcourt.

Plus, they are the ying to the others yang.

One can't shoot, the other won't usually do anything other than shoot.

One can play defense, the other?

Well, he sure is a handsome fella...lol

I will say, I am impressed by Booker's limited showing as the starting pg.

1) 3-0 against those teams
2) Top 5 defense (2nd best in the West)

OKC will be hell especially if they add another perimeter defender in Tony Allen

Reg season games don't matter much. A 7 game playoff series is a hell of a lot different than a few random games during an 82 game schedule.

OKC will probably get out of the first round (a Minny-OKC series could prevent that, main reason being Thibs is a better coach), but they'll lose in the WC semis.....

These refs should be suspended for mistakes like this. Bulls ended up winning the game by 1 point. Unacceptable

Fuck him.

I wouldn't buy him out.

Even if he gave up every dime...

Well, maybe then...lol

OKC has no depth. They were without 2 key players but just got manhandled by the Lakers......and according to most on here, the Lakers suck.

In the playoffs the game slow down which plays into OKC favor. They don't play a up and down tempo like GS and Hou.

As I said before, OKC will be hell in the playoffs. Even if they lose to one of those teams in the playoffs, it is likely going to be a long 6 or 7 game series

Those 2 happened to be 2 of their top 4 players. Russ is their best player. Most teams will struggle to win when they're without 2 of their top 4 players including your top player Golden State is probably the only team who wouldn't do too bad without in that situation.

Also depth isn't as important in the playoffs as it is in the regular season. Rotations shrink in the playoffs because your best players are playing more minutes

Depth does matter because if they lost to the Lakers......they'll lose to OKC or Houston, hell damn near any playoff team if RW or Melo miss much time.
