True enough, but I thought it was more of aroster that'd put them in a decent spot if Lebron left, as opposed to a roster that'd keep Lebron, but we'll see on that one. I do hope JC and Nance does well though

Going to be hilarious if the cavs just helped the lakers get LeBron

Wondering what the Cavs lineup will be in the playoffs? I'm guessing Hood eventually plays his way into the lineup and JR hits the bench.

Thoughts? @gordontrue @Shanemansj13

I think they accomplished both. They improved the group around him enough that it could very well entice Lebron to stick around for at least 1 more season.

At the same time, it leaves them with some solid talent that they can work with if he doesn't.

Yeah I love Hood. I think they could switch it up depending on the opponent.

Hill
Hood
Lebron
Love
TT

Against a smaller team like GS:
Hill
JR
Hood
Lebron
Love

Maybe...

Yeah, sounds about right.

But, Clarkson and Hood would make a lethal bench scoring combination.
Man...they came up on their bench production compared to the corpses of Wade & Rose. I know people think Wade still has something left - but not anywhere near what Clarkson & Hood can give. Goes without saying in relation to Rose.

Yes, the only problem will be how to get a franchise player/star player there if he decides to leave. Cle isn't exactly the destination of choice for many...especially without an existing franchise player already in place to signify wins & also that'll mask the location.

Surprised the Warriors didn't make any moves considering how trash their bench is. Guess they'll find a player on the buyout market

Both Dudes are cooked.

Wade less so.

He can still give you 15-18 good minutes a game.

Kinda in the Joe Johnson, Utah role when you just don't trust the youngsters.

Cleveland will make the finals.....as I said all along @Shaqdaddy11

Yeah. It's going to take some time for this team to gel. I don't see them getting a 1 or 2 seed. But they'll be in the playoffs for sure. Once that happens, they get Love back and they'll be in the Finals. A lot of Cleveland's problems were they had older unathletic players along with chemistry problems, mostly due to guys like Rose and IT. Those problems have been removed and were replaced with quality players whom are more athletic and can defend better.

You're probably saying, but the Cavs traded 7 guys or so to get 4 guys back. Well, kids here's who the Cavs have still on the team for the playoffs:

Lebron
Love
TT
Korver
JR

The Cavs added Nance, Hood, Clarkson and Hill. They have a solid 9-man rotation (probably 10 with Caspi) through the playoffs which has far more quality.

If Lebron leaves it won't matter. They'll be in full rebuild and would likely trade Love to get some value. For the time being though, their roster is left in much better shape than it was 24 hours ago. As much as I despise Lebron and the Cavs in general, this trade was an A+ for them. I can't think of one thing they did wrong. Outside of Frye whom was a 4 who could spread the floor; but he wasn't garnering much playing time in his 3rd year there.

There will be some quality out there I would imagine. They probably don't want to give up any key pieces or picks and just continue to develop the young talent they have.

Never speak in absolutes until the trade deadline is over. Cleveland has enough to challenge every team in the league now, and actually contend with Golden St (at least make it a closer series).
