The Browns might not have a winning season in 2018. But I bet they will in 2019 if KC chooses to go there. They have a lot of good young talent. Plus add Barkley and Chubb to the mix. Wow!! He should go to Cle. They could contend in that division in 2 years.

Dean you are becoming too transparent. You want him there because you realize that Cleveland is a black hole where no one succeeds.

Its so cute that for the past two years you have been pounding the table to raise the bar in Washington. Now.. Cousins is gone.. we better lower expectations.

i dont get why anyone thinks KC fears being able to take a team to the superbowl . you guys read a josh allen hot take and now it applies to KC ?

i wonder what the narrative will be if he has a 5 yr career with the browns avging 6 wins per years ? he couldnt win so we are justified at letting him go ? hard to say that if denver competes for a superbowl now does it ?

and what ever happened to getting a way better qb then KC ? did that BS lie the abcers aka the new allen puppets just go away ?

i was told by the puppets that "anyone could be plugged in to our offense " but now only alex the great bus driver is our only hope ? bradford , TB , keenum couldnt ? hell where is the tyrod taylor club VT ? hell you all told me colt mccoy could do it so why trade for cruise director ?

i was told by the puppets that we needed to save money to build the team yet we pay 71 mil for taxi cab driver ?

i was told we can build a defense so we start out by scrapping out the cb squad

you are selling me that signing check down charlie is better the keeping fuller and our 3rd rounder because you are agreeing with BA ? and have since 2015 ? well puppets you got your wish and you are the mouth pieces of BA

its a stupid trade period

Cle is not going to be a back hole in the future. just gave reasons why its not. I didn't lower expectations.

how is that KC is a greedy bum who is avg and anyone could run this offense even KC but now he is the browns savior ? you must think people are stupid , KC is a bus driver according to you allen puppet but now he will turn the browns into a contender in 2 years ?

the why cant he turn the skins into that ? you have been saying for years allen puppet he wasnt talented enough and now he is lebron james of cleveland ?

The redskins weren't going to meet his asking price. You still wont realize this. He can do well in Cle and make the most money in FA. Its a win win for him. skinsdad if KC wanted to stay here he would of countered offered last off season. Call a spade a spade. Plus if we made him a great offer and he turned it down then where will we be? Yo uare still looking at this from years ago but you have to look at it as of right now.

AS of right NOW, the Redskins didn't even make an offer. Traded for an older QB, and threw in a player and a draft pick that SHOULD become a contributor in order to try and save face.

I think Cleveland is arguably the most logical team for Kirk to pick, it's just not the team he will pick, imo.

Here's a list of John Elway's draft picks on offense just for fun since 2011:

  1. Orlando Franklin
  2. Julius Thomas
  3. Virgil Green
  4. Brock Osweiler
  5. Ronnie Hillman
  6. Montee Ball
  7. Tavarres King
  8. Vinston Painer
  9. Zac Desert
  10. Cody Latimer
  11. Michael Schofield
  12. Matt Paradis
  13. Ty Sambrailo
  14. Jeff Heurman
  15. Max Garcia
  16. Trevor Siemian
  17. Paxton Lynch
  18. DeVontae Booker
  19. Connor McGovern
  20. Andy Janovich
  21. Garrett Bolles
  22. Carlos Henderson
  23. Jake Butt
  24. Isiah McKenzie
  25. De'Angelo Henderson
  26. Chad Kelly

If I were Kirk Cousins I would not be super thrilled looking at this list. What the reality probably is is that Elway, being Elway, and his prior relationship with Manning, and the fact he has a SB win to his name as a GM, gets the deed done in my opinion; and it won't be more sophisticated than that. They might need to a cut a player(s?) to accommodate Cousins' contract, but that's a fairly trivial obstacle if push comes to shove looking at their roster with overthecap.

Continuing with this just to illustrate that yes that is in fact bad in comparison to other GM's; here is the Browns current GM drafting offensive players since 2013.

  1. Eric Fisher
  2. Travis Kelce
  3. Eric Kush
  4. Braden Wilson
  5. De'Anthony Thomas
  6. Aaron Murray
  7. Zach Fulton
  8. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif
  9. Mitch Morse
  10. Chris Conley
  11. James O'Shaughnessy
  12. Da'Ron Brown
  13. Parker Ehinger
  14. Demarcus Robinson
  15. Kevin Hogan
  16. Tyreek Hill
  17. Patrick Mahomes II
  18. Kareem Hunt
  19. Jehu Chesson
If this draft history means anything, I would expect the Browns to draft better on offense to surround their QB than Denver is going to.

that isnt the narative you were pushing allen puppet . you said he couldnt carry a team , wasnt a winner , you blamed every loss on HIM soley . you supported the low ball offer puppet . his wanting to stay can be blamed on one person puppet and that is your master BA

you said we could get a better qb and would save cash niether happened puppet we just got an older bus driver you portrayed KC to be puppet

and we gave up team resources to get a bus driver when we could have signed a different bus driver puppet

now that is today and that is real puppet . you want him to go to cleveland because if he doesnt win there you can say you were right . if he goes to denver puppet well then that makes you look like the allen puppet you are

not at all. You are way off as always. lol im not pushing any narrative. im telling you why they did this trade. I think KC is a fool not to go to Cle. IF he fails there, so what . What do I care. Im happy we got a good QB at a fair price. Im not going to let a 3rd round pick and Fuller get in the way of ALex Smith. Sorry.

Cleveland's roster may have a core on both sides of the ball.

Cleveland may already have an average D with an enormous number of draft assets to address holes on both sides of the ball

Cleveland may have an incredible cap situation to not only sign Cousins, but splurge in FA.

But any team with Hue Jackson as the HC and Haslam as the owner will be suspicious no matter how incredibly well positioned they seem to be for 2019 and 2020; and 2018 with Cousins probably isn't bad in a soft AFC and division. It would not be foolish to pick one of the other teams in the poll. If it were really truly a purely a roster call, I think Cleveland makes the most sense if you can get past Hue Jackson and Haslam being in positions of power.

At the same time though

Marrone was a JAG coach before the Jags' coach.

Vance Joseph just narrowly dodged being fired in Denver

Arizona's coaching situation is a complete unknown if we're honest

Bowles has a rocky track record and the roster is probably the worst one on the list.

I am not sure anyone on this list has a good HC situation.

How much better are those guys than Hue Jackson really?

Bottom line however is relationships matter, and that's probably where Denver wins out here. I have a hard time believing Denver is some amazing destination for Cousins given how they have drafted for a while now, however.

I think if KC went to Cleveland they would contend for the division in his first year. Teams do a complete 180 all the time in the NFL. Cleveland's winless season was a direct result of this.... their QBs tossed 28 combined INT's, and the year before that RG3 won the starting role... let that sink in for a minute. KC averages about 10 pics a year since he became a starter. Not great but certainly not far from the average of top QB's in the league. Anybody not seeing that Cleveland is about to turn their dysfunctional franchise around don't know football. I will bet anyone that Cleveland, despite who is QBing (other than Kisor) will win at least 7 games next year. If KC is in the mix I will say 8 or more wins. This teams stock is about to go up with or without KC. Watch.

You assume that Kirks main motivation will be the most money he can get. Going to be interesting if he takes less than the soul crushing deal to go someplace where he can do well on the field.

But then that would suggest that what he really wanted was out of the insane asylum known as Ashburn.

C'mon man, really??

Jags are set up to win for a long time, Denver is not.

I'd run to the Jags if I was KC, with that defense, and that running game. If they signed Robinson too, all the better.

Denver is getting old, and doesn't have nearly the talent on defense that the jags have.

I already showed Denver has enough talent set up to stay very good for the next 3-5 years.

I really like the jags for Cousins, but they only have 25M in cap space in 2018 and they will be stuck paying Bortles 19M. Could be locker room issues with both of them on the team.

With only 25M in space, it would be a very tight squeeze to sign Cousins. They could probably do it, but unless they want to cut some starters or redo several of the big money contracts (putting it on the credit card), they'd have to let basically all of their other FAs, including Robinson, walk for nothing.

If this trade didn't happen and KC left we will be in far worst shape for the 2018 season. FACT!!! No pupeet here just common sense. Trading away Fuller does not trump SMith.
