For him to act like this for a video tribute that was scheduled to only take place in pregame introductions is just so shitty.
Hated him as a player and hate him even more now.
I don't have a problem with Pierce not wanting to share his night...after all, I can't think of any time where a player was having his number retired and had to share it with a video tribute for a former player. So, in that regard, I think Pierce is right. Celtics shouldn't have planned it that way. I mean, it's not like they don't have 41 opportunities to plan it.
However, that can't come from him. Better to use his agent to quietly deal with it behind the scenes.
It's like when Kareem made it known he felt slighted that he didn't have a statue at Staples yet. No problem with him feeling that way, but he can't be the one saying it.
