Not true. Forever, big college programs have paid players, paid parents, hid r*pe allegations, hid assaults, educated people Aaron Hernandez while a fanbase stood up and said they didn't want any part of his alleged history just for wins. It wasn't but 2-3 years ago that Tennessee was in the news for being bad at football and having players allegedly r*pe people. Win for the good guys. He may be innocent but it's not worth the risk for winning football games. The people who fund the school with the largest revenue in the SEC spoke out and won.

Has Tennessee changed the name of Manning Pass? Since he sexually assaulted that trainer and covered it up.

What an absolute disaster this is for Tennessee, like who are they even going to get???

At this point their only choice might to take a shot at the James Madison coach and hope that works out

That link also claims Ole Miss has taken the interim title off Matt Luke. If true that is the right move.

They aren't going to get anyone better that's for damn sure. Especially with all these other teams looking.

You Tennessee fans realize that after Schiano falling through, Currie has nearly complete discretion to hire anybody he wants, because whoever it is will be compared to Schiano. You might get a complete unknown at this point.

So he can go get Mike Mcquery?

So pretty much what we've dealt with the past 10 years. Good call Sherlock.

He admitted to mooning another dude in the locker room and a trainer saw it. He apologized. Not sure what more there is to that story though? I think it's still named Manning Pass.

But I do take it you agree with all the allegations around Tennessee sexually assaulting people, hiring a guy connected to the Sandusky thing is too soon.

[Manning] “pulled his shorts down and put his anus and testicles on my face,” Naughright said on Feb. 29, 1996. The athletic trainer was examining the quarterback’s foot at the time when the alleged incident occurred.

Manning denied the allegations and insisted he was “mooning” a friend in the locker room.

The interview had an exclusive clip of Manning’s deposition, showing the then-19-year-old college quarterback telling his side of the story.

"I briefly pulled down my pants to so-called 'moon' him," Manning said in the deposition. "One second, one and a half seconds. Pulled my pants back up and continued with Jamie's examination of the bottom of my foot."

Naughright called Manning’s defense “a lie” and said she was “scared” at the time of the incident.

The former athletic trainer filed an “employment complaint” against the University of Tennessee and was awarded $300,000 in a settlement before she resigned, Indy Starreported.

The incident came up again in 2001 when Manning wrote about it in his autobiography he penned with his father, Archie. Naughright sued Manning for defamation which was settled for an undisclosed amount.

So, the university paid her $300K to go away, then Manning settled out of court with her when she sued him for defamation.

There is much more evidence here to convict Peyton Manning than Greg Schiano.

Too slow. @Sgt Brutus brought this to our attention. Sounds pretty bad to me. More reason not to be associated with someone who allegedly was part of the Sandusky cover up this close to all that sexual assault going on in Knoxville.
