Here is the why i see those games.

Philly has not ran into a "Contender"
Jax is Tough. been watching them all year. Most likely it's a L but if we make them beat us deep we got a shot.
Dallas is like Dr. Jackel and Mr. Hyde, You Can't tell

We just need to beat LA at home and the division is ours

Yeah, this division is not over yet, we can win it.. Last nights game was a bruise for sure, but it's not the end of the season by any stretch ...

Just not yet, not until Pete says he's done. There's nobody even close to as good as Pete right now, our coordinators on the other hand :rolleyes2:

Pete Caroll has been great, but his downfall is being so dam loyal to his coordinators... When he was considering trading Sherman because him and Richards had it out, I was like @#$^@ Fuc$#^@ is he thinking ? Richards is easily replaceable, Sherman is not ... OH and Gruden is an awesome coach, definitely...

I'd be fine if the Seahawks cleaned house on coordinators. There may be some good ones, I'm not super familiar with all of them. But the big name guys, Bevell, Cable, Richard. I wouldn't be sad to see any/all of them go.

Last night's loss was a team loss in every sense of the word. Don't let the fact that a missed field goal was the final nail in the coffin convince you that it was all Walsh's fault. If he would have been allowed to kick the significantly shorter field goal at the end of the first half (and made it), that could have led to a completely different sequence of events from the beginning of the second half on. Any number of things, if done differently, could have resulted in a win instead of a loss.

As far as wanting to fire Carroll goes? I don't even know why I'm entertaining the idea, but here goes: If you fired every coach who cost their team a game with some of their decisions, literally every coach would have been fired multiple times over. Even a guy like Belichick, a coach who has led his team to five Super Bowl wins in 16 years, has made decisions that have cost his team wins over the years. The Patriots haven't been in any hurry to fire him and their fans haven't been in any hurry to seriously push him out the door either and that's because he's the best coach they've ever had. You don't fire the best coach you've ever had unless his decisions start losing you more games than they are winning games for you, or he and the players have a falling out that can't be resolved.

I feel like the people who keep suggesting that Carroll be fired need to keep being reminded what the 90's were like for this team. If you've been a fan long enough to remember those years, you have no business suggesting that Carroll be fired now. This franchise will eventually have another run of bad coaches and another string of mediocre/bad seasons and when it does, the people who want Carroll fired now will look back at his time here and ask themselves why the hell they ever wanted that.

this isnt a "we lost a game! FIRE CARROLL!!!"

this team has been spiraling downward since the last play of the 2014 superbowl.

we have a potentially MVP type QB with the worst run offense in the league. get an offensive coach, this is going to be an offensive team, stop pretending otherwise.

now, as to who to replace him with, gruden might actually come out of retirement if it means coaching wilson. he was one of the very few that liked him pre-draft.

The game has passed by Gruden. He's been out of the league for a decade, plus he makes boat loads of cash doing Monday night football so I don't see him passing up the comfy chair for 20 hr work days at VMAC.

See this is a example of unreasonable expectations. Yes the Seahawks haven't been able to succeed to that level since, but that's the nature of reaching the top. Your crop of young players reach their second contract and it becomes difficult to keep the same level of excellence with the roster.

2010 Saints beat Colts, neither has been the same since
2011 Packers beat Steelers ditto
2012 Giants beat Pats Giants haven't been the same since
2013 Ravens beat 49ers neither team been the same since
2014 Seahawks beat Broncos this was a exception as both teams returned to another SB
2015 Pats beat Seahawks
2016 Broncos beat Panthers both teams been down since
2017 Pats beat Falcons Falcons don't look the same, may not reach the playoffs

"we have a potentially MVP type QB"

As for the MVP type QB, think maybe the coaching staff deserves some credit here? Haven't they done a better job developing him then most teams have? For example, lets look at some QBs drafted near the same time

Andrew Luck
Robert Griffin
Ryan Tannehill

Cam Newton
Colin Kaepernick
Teddy Bridgewater
Blake Bortles
Jameis Winston
Jake Locker
Blaine Gabberth
EJ Manuel

I think the Seahawks have done a better job then any of the teams for the QB above. The Seahawks have done a great job at staying competitive. That's much harder then you give credit for. You want a SB winner and your going to scream and stomp your feet until it happens...entitled...spoiled

You do know were 7th in the league in total yardage and tied for 9th in total points, right? I'd say that's an improvement...

Yep... Look what happened to Joe Gibbs when he returned after taking long time off...

Plus, its moot to suggest Gruden as a replacement... Have you all asked him if he's even interested? Until a rumor flies that he's interested, why even suggest him as the replacement?

Yeah, I saw that and had to shake my head w/ an eye roll... Some fans crack me up...

I wish there was a way to release or waive fans from a team...

Interesting. Would those complaining about Walsh be of the same mind that Scott Norwood was the reason that the Bills lost to the Giants all those years ago. Let's not even consider that the offense gifted the Falcons 14 points and it’s already been discussed that there was the fake field goal and a penalty that could've mad ethe difference between 52 and 42. But, yeah - Walsh being short was the reason the Seahawks lost.

I won't put this loss on Walsh, but he owns the loss to the Redskins 100%. Plus, I don't think the coaches have much confidence in Walsh either. With 7 seconds left and zero timeouts it looked like Wilson was lining up for one more play to move the ball closer. 52 yards is not a gimme but I think NFL caliber kickers ought to hitting them more than missing them.

wilson was great as a rookie, he wasnt what i would call "developed". i would even argue this offense has held him back and held other talented players back as well. had we better offensive coaches who knows what our offense would be like.

i can tell you one thing though, it wouldnt make converting 1 yard seem like such a titanically difficult venture.

and that brings me to my point, i just want to see improvement in areas that have haunted this team since bevell has ran the offense. gaining one yard has been a problem since day one essentially, especially in key moments.

I still don't completely lay Washington at his feet - though he definitely deserves more blame for that one. We were playing a lower quality team, that was injured to the gills and at home and we were pretty much handled. Yes, kicking those 3 field goals would've won it for us, but scoring one more TD instead of having to kick field goals wins it too. But, 2 INTs and letting them go 70 yards in 35 seconds also hurt them that game.

Now, I honestly don't know what Walsh's range is right now - but historically he has hit more than he's missed (24 of 35 now), so missing this one doesn't mean that he can't kick them.

Now, I think Hausch is the better kicker, but Seattle didn't want to pay him $2.5 million (or more since he made $3.5 million in 2016). Yeah, it sucks that Walsh missed a 50 yarder, since Hausch hasn't missed one in 3 seasons, but 50s aren't necessarily gimme kicks anyway.

Walsh is the easy whipping boy because of what happened earlier this year, other than that he has been fine. The ball was NOT carrying well last night. Look at the kickoffs, how many touchbacks were there, 1? 52 yard FG in Seattle is like a 58-60 yarder in a dome or warmer climate. It's not like he shanked it, it just came about a yard or two short.

I'm hoping Pete goes out on his own terms, he's meant a lot to this franchise and has done it better than anyone before him ... He's making some baffling decisions as of late, but I still have faith in the guy and his program... I still think we win this division...

Buffalo Bills K Steven Hauschka set a new NFL record in his team's week 11 road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. With his 50 yard FG conversion in the third quarter, he extended his streak of 50+ yard FG conversions to 13, the longest such streak in league history. Hauschka also converted on each of his three PAT tries on the afternoon.

Fuck.
