No comment on getting CT more involved via the passing game eh.

Its not Swearinger's fault he can't cover speeds WRs, TEs. They need to put him in the box and put Nicholson at the rover. Dunbar needs to play more. I wonder how he or Fuller would do as a safety?

Sigh......we're still a bad defense in ways.

Over the last 2 games the Skins are 6-8/3-4 in each game in the RZ.

How would you know what should've happened 3 years ago.

You were up to your neck in Brian "Can't Do Wrong" Kelly's anal cavity back then weren't you?

Always liked him at Cincinnati.

I would know because I knew. Fuck off.

Does the faulty running game fall all on the RBs? I'm asking because I don't know. I've seen enough to know the RBs are playing their part far as the running game being ineffective, but is the OL and play calling a part and if so, how big of a part.

Are our injuries just bad luck or is there something more to it?

Injuries - unfortunately - play a big part in all of this. This is not an excuse - it is reality. Sure - the team still is doing some things poorly that go beyond injuries, but the injuries account for quite a bit of the issues. I believe this to be the case with the running game. The Redskins definitely need to find a full time RB next offseason, but the current backs are serviceable if the OL is healthy. Long, Williams and Schreff run block very well especially downfield. When they were all together in the Rams game they did quite well (perhaps the competition was not that great but good enough). I think that the running game is easily fixable but perhaps only to a degree this season & if more OL injuries occur moving forward all bets are off.

In terms of injuries being bad luck - it all depends on how the injury occurs. It seems to me that w/ the Redskins (& a lot of the NFL) injuries occur when another player lands on someone or a player falls awkwardly - that is just bad luck & not much you can do to prevent it. The CBA rules preventing significant off & in season practice also contribute to things. Note that there is an injury epidemic league wide - not just on the Redskins. The NFL appears to have reduced head related injuries significantly while other injuries are occurring at what appears to be a rapid pace. I would have to believe that the Redskins are doing all that they can to prevent injuries (why wouldn't they), but there is only so much they can do. We will see what happens moving forward.

Whoops my bad - I was going to reply for the reason for ongoing issues in this area, but it sounds like you are stating that there is improvement.

You are right, we are still a bad defense in some ways, but we do have some bright spots that weren't there last year. Specifically, we have some young DBs that are showing potential. You mentioned Fuller and Dunbar. They both are playing at a high level right now and have show vast improvement over last year. Nicholson is showing signs of being a good pick. We also have Allen who was showing that he will be a PB selection in the not so distant future. We still have holes. We need more speed at the ILB position. Brown has been a great pick up. Mason is not a starter, but should be great depth. But it is the front 7 that need to make plays on 3rd downs and that still doesn't happen. This needs to again be a focus of the draft in 2018. We have got to find a way to handle mobile QBs like Wentz because these QBs constantly kill us. All in all, as frustrating as it is that they have games like they did against Philly, I do think the defense is headed in the right direction.

W/O question far as improvement goes. I said after the KC game that for whatever reason and I had nothing to support it with except a feeling. That our RZ offense was gonna get rollin. Hopefully it continues.

Unfortunately our defense is getting rolled in the RZ as well.

Far as the running game goes. Are Mack Brown and SJ hurt? Cuz if not, somebody dig off in SJ's ass about the fumbles and get both of them out there. I'd really like to see Brown in some extended action. Either the Skins need to get out of that RBs can be taken in the later rds bullshit mind set. Or maybe its time RBs coach Randy Jordan gets his walking papers. Or at the least isn't asked to come back after this year.

Concerning Mason. Was he that much better than Compton last year who seems to be getting no PT. And is Martrell hurt again? If not I thought he made some plays against the Raiders.
