Isaiah is already about as chip-on-the-shoulder as you can get.

Add in the fact that the team he took to a #1 seed and made an all-nba team with just traded him.... throw in a contract year leading up to his 1st big payday.

Yeah, this dude's gonna be motivated.

Yeah, he's gonna be real motivated while he watches LeFraud hog the ball :thumb:

Yet one is 25 and the other is almost 30.

3 years different. Doesn't change the fact that IT is right in the middle of his prime just as Kyrie is.

From the Cleveland perspective

- IT gets you almost equivalent scoring with arguably more heart and passion
- Crowder gets you a 3 and D wing player that can be utilized in closing situations where defense is a higher priority
- Pick(s) could be used to flip for another player

From the Boston perspective

- Irving gives them the true elite superstar they needed. Crowder was expendable given all the wings they already have. Picks also expendable

This will make the Cleveland vs Boston rivalry a must watch every time they play.

Kyrie got 3 extra years of prime, and Isaiah got a bad hip.

I can see this point. Doesn't change that IT is in the middle of his prime as well which was my only point. Are you guys expecting IT to be some bum in 2020? Like seriously the guy is only 28.

I really like the Irving superstar aspect. Heyward is good but not an elite player....IT is 5-9 and not your #1 on a really good team.

IT will be a beast in 2020 if he can stay healthy. He's still improving. But, Kyrie is the better player, straight up I take him all day. I don't even mind throwing in Crowder, he's a nice piece but as @Gman said, he is by no means irreplaceable.

My problem is the pick, that fuckin pick man! :gaah:

Yeah Kyrie is the better player. As I said earlier Kyrie for IT straight up or even Kyrie for IT/Crowder was good but wouldn't have thrown in that pick at all.

Kyrie Irving is nowhere close to being a superstar. Watch. The Celtics will be about the same as they were last year. Even with Hayward.

Irving isn't your #1 on a really good team either.

Brooklyn isn't great but they have made an effort to improve the team. There's a real possibility that the pick will not be a lottery pick. People are assuming that the Nets will be in the tank again this year. I don't see them anywhere near as bad as last year.
in order for it to not be a lottery pick- obviously the Nets have to make the playoffs

cmon now.

Magic suck. Hawks suck. Brooklyn sucks. Bulls suck. Kings suck. Lakers suck. Suns suck.

Knicks, Pistons, Pelicans, Mavericks are not good- but they dont suck.

I think the Magic are the worst team in the league. The East is easier than the West--- but i think the Lakers and Kings should both prob have better records than the Nets.

If I were to guess- id guess the Nets are somewhere between 3rd and 6th worst next year.

There is no way in hell they make the playoffs.

1. Cavs
2. Celts
3. Wiz
4. Raptors
5. Bucks
6. Heat
7. Sixers
8. Bobcats

are all much better than the Nets. The Pistons and Knicks arent great--- but they at least have some players- esp. the Pistons adding Bradley.

It would amaze me if the Nets were better than 11th in the East- and that is their ceiling. Thats if they are better than the Bulls, Pacers, Hawks and Magic.....I def. think the Pacers are better than the Nets.

Bulls, Hawks, Magic and Nets all do blow though. Bulls def. have more talent with LaVine, Dunn, Lopez, Markenen, Payne, Valentine, Portis....but its a very young team too.

Hawks, and Magic are very bad.

Irving/Hayward will be 1a, 1b, that could work nicely. I think they're better than they were last year.
