they need a real power forward bad

maybe they make another deal and trade the lakers pick or something with morris and or smart--- who knows.....

Im in a good mood though- even if Isiah isnt ready at hte start of the year- who cares- Rose can substiute in early on.

Cavs will have some options....what do you think their lineup will be?

You have some options now off the bench--- will Crowder come off the bench? He cant play the 2 can he? Can LeBron play the 2? lol?

I have no clue what their lineup will be.

Isiah, LeBron, Thompson and Love--- for sure--- who is the last guy? Crowder? Shumpert? Korver? Rose?, Green?

I like the Cavs roster now...lets assume:

PG- I. Thomas
SG- K. Korver
SF- L. James
PF- K. Love
C. T. Thompson

Bench: Rose, Crowder, Green, Osman, Frye, Jefferson, Shumpert, Felder, Zizic
I think the NBA, outside of the Warriors and Spurs, are in for a world of hurt when the Cavs go small.

Tristan at 5, Bron at 4, Crowder at 3 with Korver and Thomas in the backcourt.

That frontcourt will be able to camouflage the hell out of Isiahs defensive liabilities.

2 Months Ago... I'm not a huge fan of this trade.

But now - with the context of Kyrie's trade demand - I LOVE it.

The best part is that that pick can be used in a lot of different ways. If LeBron is feeling the new team and decides to offer some verbal commitment, the Cavs would flip that BKN pick for another serious piece in a heartbeat. And there could be some very interesting pieces on the trade market come February.

Holy hell what a haul for the Cavs. Congrats Cavs fans you guys won the trade. Real winner of this trade is Klay Thompson. Gets to chase around IT instead of Irving.

I like this deal from the Celtics perspective. You need elite players and the Celtics got one with a decent contract and a good chance to extend him. And he's 25.

The Cavs got a 28 year old 5'9" elite player with a hip problem and in his last year on his current deal. Crowder is a great contract and a decent role player. Zizic showed promise in Europe but there's some question whether he can play at NBA speed. The Nets pick is the true asset here.

The Celts were not going to get over the hump without making a bold move with their assets. No way they are done. They need a true C/PF obviously. They have everything else including two wings who could be special.

For example, if the Grizz stumble in the 1st half of the season and are looking at missing the playoffs... TT + BKN pick for Marc Gasol could become a real possibility.

Brooklyn isn't great but they have made an effort to improve the team. There's a real possibility that the pick will not be a lottery pick. People are assuming that the Nets will be in the tank again this year. I don't see them anywhere near as bad as last year.

@WiggyRuss, your belt and shoelaces, please
Lmao....this was a Cavs win.

PG traded for Olidipo, Sabonis.

Butler traded for Dunn, Lavine.

CP3 traded for Beverly, Williams, Harrell, Dekker.

Cousins traded for Buddy fucking Hield .

Kyrie traded for Thomas, Crowder and Brooklyn pick.

Cavs the only Team on this list who won the trade that their star player forced.

Didn't tank last year either. Lin was just never healthy

What's gonna be funny is hearing Cavs fans and Celtics fans suddenly flip scripts after a year of claiming that their PG was better than the other.

They can bring back Lebron and IT if they take on Gasol's contract. He is making 24 mill in 2018-2019 and 25 in 2019-2020.

There is the racist email theory that I believe.

Everything seeemd to be fine. The Cavs were negotiating deals for Butler and George. Then, like overnight there were reports that Cleveland players were telling Butler to stay away. Then Griff doesn't get renewed and the whole Kyrie mess.

IMO, something must have happened that the public isn't currently privy to. Just doesn't make sense.
Kyrie was obviously the one that submarined the Butler trade--- he is good friends with Butler and wnated to go to Minnesota

I live in Cleveland and listen to sports talk radio on a daily basis and theres certain guys that love nothing more than to roast the team and i never once heard one report or even rumor about an email- and i cant even find anything about it on any kind of publication what so ever.

I was worried about Griffin being fired as i liked his steady hand- but I gotta say- Altman did WAY better than I ever imagined the Cavs could do in a trade.

And to be honest- i really like the Cavs depth- and thats not including any future potential trades or buy outs like Dwade.

that Brooklyn pick could end up being humongous too- either as a trade chip- or asking LeBron- cmon- stay--- play with Isiah and Love- and once you age out a little Bagley will be ready to kick some ass (or whoever - I have heard there are 3-4 really really good players in this up coming draft).

eh....3 years from now- Boston will be in great shape with a 28 year old Irving, Hayward sitll in his prime, TAtum and Brown in their primes.....

Irving, Hayward, Tatum, Brown is a really really nice core.

I dunno- as much as i love Irving---- i thought Boston was better positioned 6 months ago than they were right now. Hayward and Irving is an amzing place to start- but with Horford there- they wont have any cap room to add anyone major with haywrad, irving and horford on max deals.

Is Hayward, Irving, horford, tatum, brown, smart enough?

what is Bostons front court even gonna look like? is this yabusale guy gonna play a major role?

what is their big rotation? Horford and who?
Baynes is the only other big.

Yup, you can't just sit on assets. This is a good deal for the Cavs, but I like it for the Celtics, too. There might not be a better scorer than Kyrie, and like you said, he is still only 25 years old. On top of that, I think that the Celtics were always looking to move Thomas anyway. I don't think they wanted to commit big money to an undersized player who would be nearly 30 years old next offseason.

Wow. I'm floored. I'm gonna have to sleep on this one.

I really was a fan of IT... loved his attitude and leadership. But my head told me... time and time again... that he is a defensive liability and when it came to CHAMPIONSHIP time... he was a liability.

Still... I'm sad to see him go.

I gotta sleep on this one.
