Not with how deep 3rd base is in the NL. Arenado, Rendon, and Bryant. And Turner has played 19 fewer games, but he's been an absolute stud there as well.
That's true. The depth at 3rd base is nuts.

Freddie Freeman started his rehab assignment last night. Didn't even bring a first baseman's glove with him. For better or worse, we're probably gonna see Freddie Freeman as a third baseman either in the upcoming Washington series or right after the AS break.

This situation kinda reminds me of Ron Grant. He made it all the way to the bigs as a 2B, then demoted himself for a year or so so he could learn the OF. He came back as a perennial all star.

The difference in the chase for the Wildcard in the AL & NL is pretty said.

In the AL, the A's who are dead last are only 7 GB.

In the NL, the first team on the outside looking in is 8.5 out. There are 6 teams in the NL who can say on June 23rd they have no shot at making the playoffs while in the AL all 15 teams are in the race still. Either division or Wildcard

Eh... 7 GB with the entire American League between you and a WC spot is a country mile. However, I understand what you're coming from. The entire AL has been rather mediocre outside of Houston, and I'll give the nod to Boston and the Yanks. However, they haven't been dominant either, that's for sure. In theory, everyone is still alive, and a hot streak away from being in the thick of it. No doubt.

Yeah, you can't sit down Matt Adams the way he's swinging the bat. That lineup actually takes on a pretty damn good look when you add Freeman back into the mix.

Astros have 4 players in the top 15 in wRC+ (minimum 200 PA). Marwin Gonzalez has the highest of the bunch (165).

Clayton Kershaw is the first pitcher in MLB history to strike out at least 13 in a complete game with fewer than 100 pitches.

I knew the Astros had a very good offense, but I didn't realize they had a team OPS+ of 136. That's insane! They probably won't keep that up, but I can't recall seeing any teams having an OPS+ that high at this point in a season. They're hitting .291/.356/.502 overall. For reference, Avisail Garcia has a .356 OBP and .498 SLG%. Their whole lineup is hitting like 9 Garcias. They currently have four hitters with an OPS+ north of 160 (Gonzalez isn't qualified, but he does have 293 PA). They have 6 other hitters with an OPS+ north of 100.

Their team wRC+ of 130 would be the highest since the end of the deadball era. The 1927 Yanks had a wRC+ of 126.
