Is KSU coach Snyder in the wrong or in the right?

Kind of shitty. I have a ton of respect for Snyder, but this is BS. He takes in a lot of transfers, so it hard to this is not hypocrital.

This kid can transfer to a JUCO and then transfer to any school he wants after.

If Snyder was bypassing transfer rules for incoming somehow, or was always complainign about them, I could see. But he's following the same rules for transfers in both directions so I don't get where he is a hypocritical.

It's why I think there is more to this. I get not letting kids transfer in conference but this is pretty extreme. Snyder is one of the most honorable guys in the industry and I don't think he would screw a kid over just to be vindictive

Snyder has changed a lot the past two years ... right after he got involved in devil worshiping.

Sounds like this guy got in the dog house and stayed in the dog house and now wants to run away from the dog house.

Yep
If i'm a coach and put in all sorts of time and effort into a kid and he does stupid shit and can't stop then i'm not going to be so happy.

Call it a learning experience for the guy.

Same could be said of the coaches that leave for bigger coaching gigs.

As already pointed out, the schools are protected when coaches do that. The other school has to pay the buyout, so they basically get a free head coach for a few years because they other school will be paying for it.

You are trying to remove the protection the schools get for the students is all.

You can't straddle this line though.

If they're "Student-Athletes" then the student has to come first.

Other students aren't forced to sit out of anything. They can transfer freely. Even scholarship student (for things like academics) can bounce out.

I didn't realize he came out and said the kid failed to drug tests. I didn't think they could release that information. Some reason Snyder seems to be taking this personally. This is not the classy man I am used to seeing

They are considered students, because University doesn't owe them workers comp as students.

So
All of a sudden Bill Snyder isn't the man we all know him to be.
The kid must be telling the whole story.

A hit job piece on Snyder isn't going to get much traction because we all know who he is.
I'll take his word every. single. time.

The student does come first. They aren't transfering for student reasons, they are transfering for atheletic reasons.

You never know. Snyder has coached a long time, even he can handle things poorly. Nobody is in fallible. I think this was handled poorly, but to what extent I do not know

I just really don't see how people think these kids are being done wrong with being made to wait a year before playing at another school.

I see people constantly talk about how the "student" part is a joke and that schools don't respect it, and that more emphasis should be made on the student part.

But these schools aren't in anyway restricting their education.

The only thing being restricted is the athletic part. And what's the problem with that?

They get a free education, free housing, free food, free clothing and they also get thousands of dollars now every year in addition to the grants and other things they qualify for.

And I'm supposed to believe these kids are being done wrong because they want to transfer to another school and will have to sit out a year?

Talking about drug tests is highly unusual. No need to go there. That clearly wasnt a classy move

Yes, I don't know about that part.

But the rest, I don't understand why people get upset about.

Also, I read that the 35 schools didn't include any B12 schools and didn't include anyone on K-State's 2017 schedule.

Who's talking about the schools? Coaches with a system recruit players, then leave for a better gig while the players they recruited get stuck with whoever comes in afterwards, usually someone with a system that doesn't fit their style.
