Per Russo: The Wild is 2-14-5 in the last 21 games he’s played (1-10-2 in the last 13) and 13-4 in the last 17 without him.

Yeesh, that's ugly. Still, if you're trying to get maximum return for a player, I don't think Yeo's statement is a good approach.

Yeah, but in my eyes, it sets a bad precedent (especially for a coach on his first gig as a head coach). I read a piece on Hitch a week or so ago in which he stated how much he's softened his stance when dealing with players.

Yeos in a great position to do this with all the young former ahl guys on his team. His no-nonsense call it as he sees it approach can work here (early expiration date though) as opposed to on a veteran team

as for Hitch .... with all the hate directed his way from former players ... Im not surprised by the change in philosophy since no matter how good a task master he was and is ... he was running out of NHL coaching lives

Yeesh, that's ugly. Still, if you're trying to get maximum return for a player, I don't think Yeo's statement is a good approach.

i agree with that

I'm not impressed with Zid.... But Visnovsky coming to the Devils would make me a happier as a fan.

i would assume tallinder would be involved... he's been good for only 1/4 of his time in nj (the second half run last year) since then very unspectacular, and the devils have a wealth of solid defensive prospects in urbom, gelinas and especially merrill. so it would make the trade 1 cost effective, and i believe zidlickys contract ends sooner than tallinders so it makes room because by then one of those guys will surely be ready if not 2.

zidlicky isn't great. but he's not bad when you compare what he and tallinder both bring (if that was the trade)

right now. tho my thoughts are

1: either lou is backing out because he, as well documented fucking hates leaks (hence why fletcher is so livid)

2: it very well could be for tallinder and be an issue w his recovery

3: fletcher wants to see if he can just get that little bit more and is going to try to use his time wisely.

either way, as mad a fletcher is.... i highly doubt a player and his rep come out saying they'll waive their ntc for a certain team unless they have been approached. so no matter what, someone is full of shit right now.

p.s. clarkson isnt getting traded unless its for a guy like lucic. aka, that shit ain't happening.

I would never trade Clarkson for Lucic fights like :sly:

Seriously...that...sucks. For the rest of the teams trying to make moves, the price just keeps going up. Zidlicky does have another year on contract, but come on. 2 draft picks, 1 NHL player, 1 likely soon NHL player, and 1 throw in.

Is that to fit his salary in? I mean that looks like gross over payment. I'm glad the Flyers did their d-man shopping early now.

Foster and Vielleux coming back to the Wild, now all we need is Lemaire to coach them.
