In half of those 25 seasons, they finished in the basement of the division or 2nd to last.

1986-2010

25 seasons
9 - 90+ loss seasons
4 - 100+ loss seasons
7 - last place divisional finishes
5 - 2nd to last place divisional
1,844-2,140

"but they had two playoff berths and finished above .500 a few times!"

They were a fucking joke before 2011.
From 2006 - 2011 they were hardly a joke... You can post what ever bs you want.. But 25 years was incorrect. The tigers were one of the better teams of the mid to late 80s... And were pretty much consistant threats for a playoff birth from 2006-current. You went overboard with the 25 year thing... Just admit it. There was about 16 years from 89-2005 i will gladly admit were awful..

The tigers had 1 season they were below 500 from 2006-2011... Yet for some reason you think they were a joke... Interesting.

So, are people not throwing the Padres out there in an effort to spare @HammerDown 's feelings? They've existed for almost a half century with only five playoff berths. That's a shit show.

The indians from 2006-2011 had one winning season... Yet the tigers were the jokes in that time with a ws run... Lol

2006-2010 - average finish 7.5 games out. Playoff threats... You're a half-wit.
Lol.. Do the math on the indians in that time frame... If the tigers were jokes from 06-10... The indians were a fucking full blown comedy.

That's my vote.

Zero WS.

That division is shit really. Astros have never won, Oakland has one playoff series win under BB, the Rangers have never won. Thank goodness for the rally monkey.

Your just saying that cause everytime your tiggers come out west they get there asses handed to them!

Historically, the Phillies suck balls that smell like cheesesteak and mayo.

However, they had a nice run there that netted them a recent championship, so count your blessings.

As a fan of another historically shitty franchise, I'd suck some balls that smell like cheesesteak and mayo to witness a Tribe championship -- BUT, I would not make eye contact because that would be gay.
yeah, like I said I have no problem with the overall success of the Phillies in the 40 years I've been a fan. I was just amused by that other poster's analogy. Although the scenario is kind of unrealistic. If a guy is "dating" a fat chick for 20 years he probably couldn't care less whether she loses weight or not-because she is a beard.

Losing? Boy, you're unfit for a contest.

The Indians were a joke from 1949-1994 and then from 2002 through 2015. Looking at the past quarter century, they've been sorta respectable, I guess.

Thing is, I wasn't talking about the Indians, I was talking about how the Tigers were a fucking joke from 1986 to 2010, and your raging insecurity couldn't accept that, so you chopped it up to a chronological set that benefited the Tigers and compared it to the Indians.

New calculation this is the order from Best to worst... Yes, I have the diamondbacks as my 2nd best franchise...

Thanks for letting me know that you have an 18 year old franchise as your #2 right up front. Saved me the time I might have taken to read the rest.

I'm a huge Rangers fan, but save the last 5 or so years I'd say the Rangers should be mentioned more. Prior to 2010, Texas had a single playoff win. Not series win, game win in 1996 when we lost the series 3-1.

Sure enjoy this run we are on, but I'd take last place every year for a decade if we could have just sealed the deal in 2011. Fuck Lance Berkman and fuck Nelson Cruz.

If you're looking at just wins & postseason success, yeah the Brewers should be in the conversation. 45 years of existence, 1 World Series appearance, zero titles. However, the Brewers have a great stadium, great atmosphere and strong fanbase. Despite being one of the worst teams in the league last year, they were still 13th in home attendance. That's gotta count for something.
