In your opinion, which MLB franchise is the worst of all time? Give your thoughts and opinions, I figure there are a handful of franchises in the running for this.

Let me just say, although the Marlins may be terribly managed and their relations with the city is a dumpster fire, they do have 2 world series in their short time of existence.

Dude.. the Marlins are no where near the worst franchise... My vote would go to the rays or indians... neither have fan bases that give a shit.. Indians haven't won anything since the 40's... Rays never... I would probably say the Rays are the worst.. just because their stadium is a dump, no fans, and the team is constantly selling... Never understood the Marlins getting heat for trades.. yet the Rays do it twice as much.. yet no one complains.. probably because there are no fans.

They are a bit young, but the Rockies come to mind for me.
I could agree there... that team has been ass pretty much since day one.. i was out in Denver on business when they made the WS... good crowds though.

Rockies stadium is actually pretty nice though.... At least they have that. The Ray's play in the biggest joke of a stadium in pro sports.

The Rockies have never won a division title. I think they are the only team left in MLB to not have done so. And they've only made the playoffs three times.

San Diego - Ray Krok money didn't do them anything over the years as well as trading off Ozzie Smith

Phillies, Indians, Mariners, or Expos/Nationals.

I would say the Indians of that group.

Was going to go Mariners 1st, damn they have had some good players though

So have the Indians tho. Expos had the most talented team of the 90's.

That's my vote.

Zero WS.

That division is shit really. Astros have never won, Oakland has one playoff series win under BB, the Rangers have never won. Thank goodness for the rally monkey.

While the 94 Expos were great, because of the lockout we will never know how great. I would put the 01 Mariners and the Pirates teams from the early 90s in the same boat as teams that had the talent to win it all but failed.

I love Coors field.

I was there end of august/early september though and was easily able to get seats.

But....$4 tickets year round is just amazing.

Surprised to see the Indians on this list....They had very good teams back in the 90s and early 2000's, plus decent team not that long ago, I don't see the Indians deserving to be on this list at all as the WORST franchise.

Mariners although currently hold the longest post season drought at 14 seasons, did have that 116 win season in 2001, and also have had some great players. Mariners, along with the Nats/Expos are the only franchise to NOT play in the WS.

Also surprised to see the Rays on this list, yes they have a terrible park (Which it looks like they will be looking for a new stadium in the area) they have been a very solid franchsie since the name change to the Rays in 2008, and have 1 world series appearance in their short existence.

San Diego, definitely has a good argument to make this list. Hardly done much for being in such a nice city and decent market. Not sure what the issue is here.

Rockies, very deserving of this title. They have been awful, although they do has a world series appearance, they were not competitive at all in that series. Rockies do however have a solid fan base from which I have been told.

My vote may very well go with the Chicago White Sox....Here is why.: Established in 1901 they have only been to the post-season 9 times (4 of those appearance before the 60s...noting the introduction of expansion teams)....Sure they have 3 world series, most recently the 2005 world series, but their other WS' come in the years 1906 and 1917....they also have had some major controversy around the franchise.

Also think the Brewers could be considered. Only made the post season 4 times. Only 1 WS appearance back in 1982..Only won 90+ games 7 times. No world series.

I really don't think the Phillies or Indians deserve to be on the list of worst franchise of all time...

Phillies with multiple world series, and Indians have had their share of competitive teams, arguably the 95 and 97 teams one of the best to not win the WS....Both have dedicated fanbases as well.

Sure Cleveland hasn't had a world series in a long long time, but neither have the Cubs and the Cubs don't belong anywhere near this title.

Phillies do have the most losses all time but yeah they are not the worst franchise.
