As much as I love this streak- at some point- when its over- the process of preparing for the playoffs can get back going--- and that is the MOST important thing.

though- 21 game winning streak is awesome. 25 years from now itll be hard to remember who won the WS this year- but people will always remember the longest winning streak in the history of the 100+ years of the American League.

I think more people remember the 2002 Angels than the 2002 Athletics. And that was even in a movie.

How many these Tigers were on the roster then?

I'm kinda serious. This wouldn't even be a good AAA team.

I looked at espns projected pitching match ups for Twins/Tigers 4 gamer next week.

Boy is it hilarious. When the Twins have the pitching edge in a landslide you know things are rough.

Sadly, I bet we split.

so the Indians have gained like 18 games on the Dodgers in the past 3 weeks or so.. if they were in the same division that would be epically hilarious.

Maybe right now cause it still wasn't that long ago. WS is every year tho. 21 game winning streak has now happened twice in the history of MLB. Obviously the World Series matters to the fans of Cleveland and the streak won't mean as much if they don't win it. 25 years from now that might not be the case.

I just asked the Nationals fans I work with and they said "yea to the Nats in the playoffs!"

umm you're going to have to get out of the first round for that to happen.

Until just this second, I had completely forgotten the Angels won the World Series in a recent year, let alone 2002. However, any time a long winning streak starts for any team (7-8 or so), the A's instantly come to mind.

It's a straight up shit show.

They wouldn't play .500 ball in the International League. The pitching is unbelievably awful. I don't know how a couple of these fucks got out of Aball tbh. I'd have a hard time justifying going with a JV pitcher with Lebourts walk rate. It's not an impressive whip, without the hits added in.

Will there be a movie, without giving steroids the credit they deserve, for this streak?

Dusty Bakers kid is the first thing that comes to my mind.
Yup. And Barry Bonds hitting moonshots. it was one of the best WS the past 20 years. Don't know why people can't remember it. I still think the 2001 WS was the best followed by last season though.
