US and Ireland are my international teams, Man City is my club team. I'd pay a bit more attention to the MLS if Henry wasn't on the Red Bulls, since they are the local team and I despise that man. Maybe I'll latch on to the New York team that starts up in 2015. They're co-owned by the Yankees and Man City so I expect a guy like Carlos Tevez to make the jump to MLS in a few years.

I don't have a solid allegiance to any club teams but enjoy watching them when I get the chance.

In international play I follow in this order;
1) USA
2) Germany
2a) England
3) Sweden
4) Ireland
5) Denmark

Gotta hit up all the heritage.

USA obviously.

Club: CHELSEA. Because Drogba and Lampard. Mostly Lampard.
The pain of 2008 and robbery in 2009. The Redemption of 2012. Amazing stuff, when Drogba netted the penalty I fell to my knees didn't say a word and a tear rolled down my cheek.

I have to say I "follow" Chelsea just because this was the first European Team I saw play and they won...

But in all hoensty I will pretty much follow any professional soccer club

In no particular order, the New England Revolution because I've lived in New England most of my adult life,
Hamburg in the German league because a composer I'm fond of grew up there, Ipswich in England ecause my father grew up in Ipswich, MA. If none of those are on channels my cable set-up can get my underdog rooter tendency kicks in.

Almost forgot this one: Aberdeen in the Scottish league for ancestral reasons.

USA, Mexico and Pumas.

Born in USA, husband is from Mexico and likes the pumas so I just follow him on that. Didn't pay attention to soccer til I met him.

I also like MU but who doesn't, amirite?

Don't take it wrong, but you just can't be a diehard US soccer fan if you also cheer for Mexico. My wife is from Mexico. That doesn't make me like them any more. In fact the rivalry hits closer to home and makes me hate them more. I play the politically correct game, pretending not to really care when Mexico plays in the Confederations Cup or against another team, but in reality I want them to beaten, and badly... humiliated.

We were on our honeymoon for the famous 2-0 World Cup beatdown. Went two days without gettin any.

If you've got relatives in both countries...

When those 2 sides play each other there could be problems, but
most of the time they won't be.
