1) Cam and the Panthers slaughter the Broncos like the Seahawks did in Superbowl 48
- With the way the Panthers have looked in the playoffs and the type of pressure that front 7 is generating there's a chance that this game gets real ugly. The Panthers defense isn't on the historical level that the 2013 Seahawks defense is, but considering Peyton's circumstances now compared to his record breaking offense in 2013 with how hot the Panthers are a 20-30 point blow out is very possible

2) Peyton overcomes one of his greatest challenges to win his 2nd ring
- What if.. just what if...with the extra week of studying...Peyton somehow finds a way to have a really good game. Not the prolific 350-400 yard 4 td games from a prime Peyton but something efficient somewhere in the ballpark of 225-275 yards 2-3 tds and 0 ints. Superbowl MVP and rides off into the sunset

3) Cam out duels Peyton in a passing of the baton game
- Panthers win a close game where Cam makes some huge plays against a very stout secondary and lethal pass rush. Panthers go 18-1 and Cam stands tall as the MVP and Superbowl MVP.

4) Broncos defense carry the team to victory
- Ware and Miller wreck havoc and terrorize Cam all day forcing him to use his legs more. Peyton makes just enough plays limiting turnovers to win a close low scoring game.

Lastly to Peyton fans

If he wins Superbowl 50 do you want him to retire and ride off into the sun set or come back and seek back to back like Elway?

I highly highly doubt he would get the chance with the Broncos. I think it is about a foregone conclusion no matter how this game turns out that he is done as a Denver Bronco.

As for my choice I went with the Broncos defense carrying them. That has been the story all year and I wouldn't want it to change. I know Peyton will be the talk all week but this defense is the top by a large margin of why they are where they are.

The thing I least want to see:

Denver wins 21-17 with the defense carrying the day, scoring all 3 TDs on special teams and defense. Manning goes something like 15/40 0TDs, 3 picks, and a 4 QB rating. Then all the headlines are about Manning going out on top, Manning the hero, Manning the GOAT, etc.... and the defense never gets the credit they're due. Put this year's Manning on the 2012 Broncos and they go 4-12. Denver is rightfully in the Super Bowl, but solely because of their defense.

I would say more the 2013 Broncos go 4-12 with Manning playing this way as they had a bottom 3rd defense that year. 2012 we still had a top-5 defense. Not quite what this one was but I think we could have won a few more games than just 4 that year.

When Peyton retires as a player, while he's making $$$ from endorsements, speaking fees, investments, etc., I hope that he'll become a quarterback whisperer for Tennessee.

Couldn't remember the year, but you're right.

I'm just hoping the narrative isn't pre-written if Denver wins. By all means if he destroys the Carolina defense then he deserves the praise. But I think the defenses will decide this one.

I'd like to see Manning have a great game and get his last ring if for no other reason than to muddy the waters in the GOAT conversation. If Manning plays well and wins the SB it will create another 20 years of Brady vs Manning threads which should provide endless entertainment.

I don't dare make a guess on the game due to my total failure in prediction of the pats/ Denver game.

Oh I agree. Believe me Bronco fans all week were talking about how the game against the Pats had much more to do with our defense than it ever did with Manning. Manning has finally figured out that what we need from him ins't a 350 yard 4 touchdown game to go out and win these games. What we need is a 0 interception pick up some first downs and score on the few opportunities we will get type game. More of a get out of the way of the defense and let them go win the game like they have all year.

Now yes I agree the national media most likely will latch onto the whole Manning vs. Cam narrative all week. It is what gets clicks. These 2 defenses though deserve so much more respect for what they have done all year.

We are probably looking at 1 or 4. In the regular season, Carolina led the league in takeways and Denver had the 3rd most giveaways so Carolina winning going away is absolutely in play.

Denver has a much better pass rush than Seattle and Arizona, though, and their oline is less inept. I dont think Carolina will be able to just go out and win in the trenches like they have been. Von Miller has been one of the 10 best talents in the league for awhile. I like the Denver's defense winning narrative because I think it reinforces a lot of what everyone already knows that a franchise QB almost always needs a defense and to run the ball.

But I'm voting for Peyton winning it because its such a bizarre longshot and it really would end up being one of the top 10 games of all time if he goes out on top against a Carolina D that shut down Arizona and Seattle.

Is 2016 Peyton the worst QB to play in the Super Bowl in the modern era? I'm struggling to find QBs with similar stats.

edit - found a comparison. Rex Grossman

Gary Kubiak and Wade Phillips win the Super Bowl. Houston fans lose their minds in a drunken stupor.
