Maybe it'll be like the movie Draft Day and we traded up to take a LB?(Myles Jack) :pound:

Mayock thinks he'll be the next Tom Brady. It won't happen if our O-line plays like last year. The best that'll happen will be the new QB will get Bulgerized just like Foles.

The fact is we were one of the better running teams, with garbage at center and two rooks, not to mention we allowed 18 sacks with a make shift Oline. They should only get better with more experience, and imagine a qb with legs to make plays too.

Doesn't matter really, which ever one it is will probably have a short career on this team with a crappy o-line and no one to throw to! We better let him carry a clip board for a couple of seasons to get acclimated. Boy are we fucking stupid.:trash:

Weren't you praising the play of the O-line recently, stating we don't need to draft more guys? I'm confused.

Yea I did praise the potential O-line play shopson as we finished fairly strong at the end of the year and according to recent analyses. I never stated we didn't need to draft more O-line guys. I stated that about chasing high-priced O-line FAs. I think you are indeed confused.

I prefer Wentz. Confident, leadership abilities, better built to withstand the physical play of the division, better runner, solid footwork, more experience in a pro-style offense, used to playing with sub-standard receivers (lol). A winner (albeit at FCS level).

Goff throws a prettier pass with better touch and shows great escapability within the approximate pocket. He's only played in a spread in college and rarely took direct snaps. Slight of frame with small hands (shouldn't be an issue in LA, but in the SF/Seattle rain he could have ball control issues. Didn't win consistently at Cal.

Only partially, as I mixed up drafting and free agency. Praise seems a long way from your opinion today though. If the Rams can get a solid center in round 4 (or even 6?) I think they can also add a WR or two and a TE to make for a solid draft. If they can get a pick for an excess QB (Foles), all the better. He should be easy to trade given that the Rams already paid most of his 2016 cap hit in his bonus.

how can he turn out great when he has no one to throw the ball to and an Oline that only knows how to run block?

They gave up 18 sacks last year with two different starters and some injuries.

but the QB's were constantly on the run and they didn't pass that much to begin with.

this team was supposed to be built on run game and defense, so why such a drastic trade for a QB that you are only going to ask to throw the ball 20 times a game?

you know what else helps an Oline? drafting the right Oline and not projects.

unfortunately, with this trade, they have no way of fixing the Oline.

so, your solution is draft a mobile QB that can run around and buy time only to find out he has no one to throw it to in the first place and eventually gets sacked for even more yards than the QB that stays in the pocket?
