Yes he’s slow. Real slow.

Have you convinced yourself yet?

I guess...but Brady was real slow too though. I mean you saw Brady's combine time, no?

I love Brady, but the due was cinder blocks for feet too.

Good thing for Brady is he made good quick decisions and knew how to move in the pocket.

You gotten any sleep since the W?

They also all had long healthy careers. The reason they did, is because they were statues. So I'm not sure why Goff's statue like play is something to be critical of.

Being terrible under pressure, as he is, is a serious drawback in a qb. Those other guys were not. They learned to account for their physical limitations. Goff hasn't.

Fortunately they have a killer OL and a very good running game and receivers that usually cover for that flaw. I think he's fine for this team. I don't get into the financial aspect so you all carry on with that.

I feel much better about the Bucs game than the Rams. Stafford coming back to Detroit created a storyline that I didn't like. Honestly, I think if the Rams had kept their timeouts in the 2nd half, they might have pulled it off. I was relieved when they went into victory formation.

I feel better about the Bucs matchup, which may be bad news for the Lions (I was always told to pick opposite of what I think and it will likely be the right choice). I don't think the Lions really have a realistic chance for the SB, unless the Packers can knock off the 49ers. The 49ers are freaky good, and I think will likely win it all. As a matter of fact, I could see them running away with the NFC playoffs, beating teams by double digits both games.

Lamar is the question mark in front of the 49ers. (Sorry, you really didn't ask for all that info...I have slept well since)

Goff still has one more year left on his contract worth about $31 million in 2024.

Should the Lions go ahead and re-sign him this offseason or wait till next season?

I think most people put Goff around $40 million per year for a 4-5 year extension. Goff will be 30 during next season.

If you’re the Lions do you jump ahead and get him signed, or wait and see (which could drive his price up)?
Goff will get whatever the market rate is.. way more than 40 million per season

I agree. Goff will resign in Detroit. He might give a small discount for the way the Lions have backed him this whole time after the Rams basically threw him away, but he's gonna make a pile in his new deal. Hell, I think it'll surprise people how much Dak gets in his new extension this offseason--it'll be like 50M/yr.

The current QB market should be in the Lions favor. Lots of guys will be on the market when this big crop of QB’s are drafted. I don’t think Goff will want to test the market if the Lions are offering him a longer contract in the mid $40’s.

I think Goff will fall into the sweet spot where the Lions are his best fit and they will be offering very close to the most money he can make on the open market. i don't foresee another team trying to offer Goff 50M/yr. I think you're right that a deal around 45M/yr should get it done and make both sides relatively happy.

Congrats. Was a good year. And you’re about to sign Goff to be the highest paid game manager in the NFL very soon

Yeah, I agree. He played a solid game against a GREAT defense last night. It was tough watching those dropped passes, but he missed a few guys that were open too. I would have LOVED to see them in OT. Oh well, great season.

I still think they can get him in the mid $40’s, but after his playoff run, his number might increase to the $50’s. Hopefully they can agree on something in the $40’s.

It looks like the Lions are likely to make up their mind on whether to give him an extension or let him ride out the next season by March 14th.

Well, I thought we would see something by now. The Lions have till tomorrow to sign him to an extension that would save them $5 million on the cap.

Tua's expected to get at least $50M per, have to think Goff does too.

Yeah, a lot of what I'm reading has Goff north of $50 million, especially after Cousins got his new contract. I imagine that is why the Lions haven't got the deal done yet. They are likely in no hurry right now to take on that massive of a contract.

The Lions now have the highest paid O-lineman and WR in the NFL.

It’s not looking good for them not paying Goff a huge salary. :L

Team Goff is mediocre is #Winning
I don't see how these 2 signing impact Goff. Sewell is the best RT in football and St. Brown is a top 10 wr. Goff is not on their level.

He probably get between 40-45 because position. I don't think he nears 50.
