ST - Prater hit a 58 yarder for Detroit today like it was nothing, and handled the punting as well. Punter got injured early and he was also the holder, so the replacement holder screwed up and dropped the snap on the first extra point, so that shouldn't count against Prater.
Okay I didn't know this. Might switch my ST pick.

I thought he was a backup? Even though it was vs the Browns and a rookie QB 2 sacks and an in is outstanding. I'm sad we didn't get him and I hope Vince will be great as well. Damnit TT
Pretty sure TJ is starting over Harrison at this point. Thought I saw that announced somewhere.

What 2 sacks and an int? kid is goooood

Better than his brother already

in terms of having a game with two sacks and a pick since JJ has never done that before.

Turn up the WATT

Wouldn't go that far yet, JJ has been one of the best and most disruptive forces since he started. Look at 2 players using their platforms. Kaepernick wants to sit during the flag and douchebad wears pig socks and JJ wants to raise 200k for the Hurricane victims and over 30 million already. One is a commie turd and one is a true hero, I'm not fond of some cops but they risk their lives daily to protect us. I hope Kap calls 911 while getting jacked and nobody responds

Offensive player: Alex Smith. One of the weird games where he looks like Joe Montana or Steve Young out there. But it did happen. Hunt is not that far behind, but the fumble is really tough to overlook. In terms of quarterbacking, Bradford may actually have been giving Smith a run for his money. The Vikings were actually the most efficient offense this week if my recollection holds in the FPI formula.

P.S. Weird that Smith and Bradford are in an argument over the top QB for this week

Defensive Player: TJ Watt. Went up against a tough Browns OL and made a major impact on the game, potentially saving it for the Steelers. Will be interested to see what he does going forward.

Coach: Not Lynn; Sean McVay. If he revives Goff, that would really be quite impressive after already being part of Cousins' productivity explosion. Week 1 sent them off to a great start, and Aaron Donald returns. All the sudden the Rams are interesting again.

ST'er: Shelby Harris; My sleep schedule approves, no analysis needed.

Steal of the draft

Said it the day of the draft

Too often guys get drafted based on combine results, and the guys that's just a flat out football player gets overlooked

It was so obvious to me Watt was just a great football player

To me the picks this week are easy...

Offensive--Kareem Hunt. I'm not sure you can have a better opening day game by a rookie RB. Minus the fumble that was about as impressive as it gets.

Defensive--Calais Campbell. He just destroyed Houston and showed the money he got paid was well worth it so far.

ST's--Shelby Harris. Blocked field goal to end the game is about as big of a play as you can get for a DL player on ST's.

Coach--Andy Reid. Man hate that I am having to give this much love to the Chiefs but very impressive and creative playcalling to keep the Patriots on their heals a good chunk of the game is impressive. The fact that they did this on the road where the Patriots haven't lost to an AFC opponent in how long makes it all the more impressive.
