Nobody can even post a legit US soccer win in the past 10 years.... I watch every game with pride, but I'm not going to drink the Kool-Aid and pretend this team is elite when it is not. Last night was no exception.

Beating the best team in the world is not legit?

Nobody is pretending they're elite. Nobody here is expecting them to be playing in the WC finals next summer but it is not that far fetched (once they're not put in a group of death) that they make it to the elimination round and possibly make it to a QF.

My minimum expectations are to advance out of the group stage.

Beating Spain in the Confed cup is a big win. You can't just say it isn't because "oh well uh the confedcup is suspect and stuff"

Same here and depending on the matchup I may expect a QF appearance as I did in the 2010 WC when we matched up with Ghana.

We need to finish 1st in the group in order to get a favorable matchup. Finishing 2nd will line us up with one of the top teams most likely

This team tonight sucks balls. Bedoya sucks balls, the midfield is crap without Bradley, and we lack serious creativity in the final third without Dempsey. Corona might give a spark, but some of these younger players are downright awful.

They looked a lot better once they got zusi and mix into a system that allowed them to attack and create. Dempsey and Bradley are still key. Bedoya still sucks.
