Not sure if you guys been watching but we had a dramatic win over Jamaica on friday and tmr we have a showdown with Panama before heading on the road to Honduras.

If we are able to get 4 of 6 points we should be fine

How about that fucking Altidore? Is he just hot or finally realizing his potential?

He's been playing fine in Europe. Good to see him finally get his head out of his ass when he puts on the USMNT jerz. I actually like the way Deuce and Altidore have been playing together of late. The US getting legit offensive attacks and chances on goal has been a breath of fresh air. I know Jurgen took some heat for not having Donavan on the team right now, but I think that's been a good call.

Landon will be a nice sub for Zusi come WC time though. I'm surprised Brek Shea hasn't gotten more time in.

Have been very surprised at this, myself. Especially with the injuries and questions in the back.

I hope Jurgen has the foresight to realize Landon shouldn't be anything more than a sub when WC rolls around. And I won't want to see him anywhere but outside mid.

I'm really liking Fabian Johnson. Altidore is finally doing what we've been waiting for, Michael Bradley has been a stud. Dempsey and Donovan will do their thing come WC time and Tim Howard is always a beast. The backline really is the only thing that could present a problem in my opinion.

Well I wouldn't have a problem with him starting depending on who they're playing. Donovan can really exploit weak back lines with his ability to pass accurately. He probably lacks a lot of speed now though which is what Zusi brings...along with his sweet crosses.

I like Zusi to start unless we're desperate for a win and need to score. With Altidore and Deuce playing the way they are, I don't know if Donavan starting is necessary, offensively speaking. Also, a guy like Donavan coming off the bench could be a spark that we haven't had in the past.

^^Yeah I'd definitely rather see him coming off the bench. Atleast Klinsmann has a whole year to figure out little things like this. It's good the team is clicking now but I hope Jozy and everyone are still meshing by that time

Wow. Landon takes some time off to get his head together and you people forget his is the best we ever had. The only reason we made it to the knock out stage 3 years ago. Dempsey and Altidore are all the rage, but I guarantee you, we don't make it to the knock out with out a healthy and committed Landon this time.

I think this is a good problem to have at the moment that we're debating whether or not Donovan should come off the bench. It shows that we finally have some depth and often times that's the difference between moving on and not. It could serve as a motivator to all that if they slack off even a little they could get bumped out of the starting lineup.

Players should be played on their current abilities. Not what they've done in the past. He's the best we've ever had currently, but he's also 4 years older this time next year. I'm not saying he shouldn't be starting, but it shouldn't be handed to him. He'll have to earn it.

I loved watching him play and always will but he hasn't played with the team in awhile. The chemistry is good right now and like you said he was the reason we made it to the knockout stage "3 years ago". He's a lot older now and will most likely be a sub by next summer which is probably what would work out best

Our next game is against Costa Rica in September...the battle for 1st place.

Does anybody know where we would play Mexico here at home in September?

Never understood why they don't get as far north as possible. Having games in Pasadena is fucking stupid.

But its Soccer fans like me in SO CAL that get penalized and we never get to see our National team.. the closest West so far they came was Utah.
