I'm glad I played it but I'm not happy how I scored. I had one short putt that rolled off the green and my playing partners got a laugh out of that one.

Oakmont is a beast, but it was gettable yesterday and DJ didn't.

I understand you on the score...I played TPC Sugarloaf the monday after Bellsouth...course was still in tournament conditions...while nothing like Oakmont set up for a major or Oakmont period, but greens were running 13...I didn't lose a ball, and didn't break 90...shot like 96 with about 45 putts....the funny part was once we got used to the speed...you could make putts.

How about little Landry, ranked somewhere around 600 currently... He's from a little town in Texas, lives in Austin now.

He's still hanging in there. If he finishes in the top five or so, he's going to make a good check.

Hell, top 10 is a huge check @ the USO...always like seeing these unheralded players do well at majors.

Too bad DJ couldn't birdie 17, but he's still got a shot...Lowery shoots even, this is a wrap imo, but I'm not sure thinking he'll shoot even....+1 guys need help from Lowery, but even and better have a decent shot.

I had a difficult time adjusting to the speed of the greens at Oakmont.

He's in 2nd place and playing real steady golf right now and this course is a beast. He might win it going even par for the rest of the way. You just can't attack this course because you can drop 2 strokes easy on just about any hole.

well he had a rough day today, but still for his first major, he did okay.

Well, glad to see Johnson win, after watching his painful ending last year.

He hits the ball so well, if he could just up his putting, he could be a monster.

I'm not happy for him because if half the stories are true he's the ultimate douchebag but given his talent he definitely deserves it.

He had problems with alcohol and drugs for a year and that's why he took a year off to rehab.

He has never been a douche. Everybody on tour loves him. One of the nicest and quietest guys out there.

I don't know, banging his friends wife, the whole gun thing in high school, drug abuse, ... He's a great athlete by any sports standards and a great golfer. Role model? Not so much.

Glad to see this little post win walk to the clubhouse! Congrats to Johnson - good thing that whole nonsense with the ball moving on the 5th green didn't come into play - there are some strange rules on the PGA tour.

Wearing a dress that short, maybe she never expected DJ to win and her to be on camera...nice to watch though.

Actually this was a USGA ruling (PGAT would most likely have let it go when the player said cause it to move unless video clearly showed otherwise) and it was not handled well AT ALL imo.

That was about the dumbest thing I've ever seen...the event happened on #5 and they wait 7 more holes to come back and question him AGAIN after he was cleared the 1st time....total BS...when they did question him again, their mind was already made up regardless of what he had to say...why not just give him the 1 stroke penalty at THAT TIME?...WTF did they leave that hanging over him and the field for the last 7 holes...it obviously effected him...that was really f'ed up imo and I'm glad Faxon said it on the air, and the players that tweeted out about it.

I get wanting to protect the field and the integrity of the championship, but shame on the USGA.

Congrats to DJ for overcoming that BS!

Semantics maybe, but IDK if he really took a year off, or was going to be suspended and they allowed him to make the call...I heard it was the latter.

Whatever it was...it's water under the bridge imo...time to move on.

Impressive tourney by Dustin Johnson. Good to see him get the monkey off his back.
