It's near Father's Day which means the 2nd golf major of the year is upon us.
Speith, McIlroy, and current world #1 Day have all won a tourney recently, but Jordan imo does not seem to be in top form with his swing...curious to see how he fares here.
Of course Oakmont is noted to be one of the toughest golf courses in America, the members pride themselves on that moniker. Reported the greens are like ice, the rough which was cut yesterday I think is very thick. Over par is again predicted to be the winning score, but some rain is in the forecast, so it could soften the old beast up some and maybe even par could win it.
Strange that the last USO winner here was Angel Caberra...a swashbuckling, aggressive type player.
I have no clue who will win this week, but after 54 holes last weekend in Colo, no golf for me this weekend, I will be kicking back with some cold ones and watching this one.
