how far does ucla climb? how far does ASU fall. theres a few teams in the top 10 that dont have a win over a ranked opponent. id stick UCLA at 6 or 7. maybe ASU at 18

That's about what I'm thinking, depending on how Saturday goes.

Game was on past my bed time, but looked at the score this morning.

Isn't this the same UCLA that had fits finding a way to beat Memphis, at home?

:L

Maybe Memphis is better than most think. :noidea:
We will find out a lot more about Memphis when they take on #10 Ole Miss. I'm thinking this could be a game to watch and have it on my 'upset alert' watch list for Saturday.

:noidea:

Nice fail of a dodge. YOU attempted to denigrate Texas by inferring UCLA played worse without their QB......but you neglected to point out, ON PURPOSE, that Texas didn't have their QB, nor half their OL in that very same game. So you're a liar at worst, or completely disengenious at best. CLEARLY only one team missing their QB is relevant to this thread according to you.

Like I said, we'll leave the bullshit to you.
It's a big difference when your back up comes off the bench as opposed to preparing for the game all week. Those are the facts, no?:noidea:

Even if Huntley was a one-wing flinging machine. ASU really missed their starting QB Kelly, saw a lot of balls thrown into the dirt when that kid was under pressure last night.
Wallace, Mike B set the all time completion record for ASU last night. This game was won on turnovers, special teams and quick offensive strikes.

Apparently Virginia and Memphis are both better than the experts think.
A lot of those 'experts' are changing there tune on UVA after beating one ranked team and hanging in there with two others.... As far as Memphis goes, that's a wacky offense they run there and confusion works well for them. Again we'll see if the game vs the Bruins was a fluke when the Tigers travel to Oxford this Saturday.

Sounds about right to me however I expect to see something more along the lines of UCLA moving up 1 spot and ASU being bounced out of the top 25 depending on how the other top 25 do of course...

I figure that this game just means that Todd Graham will be watching very closely what happens at Michigan and Florida, as one of those might be his next "Dream Job." I mean - this is his thrid season at ASU. He must be getting set to wake up from this particular dream by now.

Texas held BYU to a score of 41-7.

Whereas, Uconn, Houston, and Virginia all played BYU tougher. This must mean that 1-3 Uconn, 2-2 Virginia, and 2-2 Houston are really good teams.

ESPN said they ranked UCLA's schedule the 5th hardest to date prior to ASU. 4-0 team with a top 5 schedule.

UVA ain't terrible, but what I look at is how teams develop and address their weaknesses over the course of their schedule: UCLA, to me, seems to be improving.

^^^THIS^^^

ASU actually outgained UCLA last night. But UCLA averaged 10.9 yards per play on offense. That's ridiculous.

Add the special teams and turnovers to that and it was too much for ASU to keep up with.

You left off the Notre Dame games both years, good try loser

Not to mention that it's starting to look like Sonny Dykes may be starting to get Cal headed in the right direction. I don't know how they'll be in 2015, but by 2016, they could be dangerous.

Well hopefully we have it together by then, but i am glad we're scheduling well in non conference.

Guess for some it's about the strength of the opponent that runs you into the ground. :noidea:

Texas was UCLA's last game before ASU.
They beat ASU 62-27 and beat Texas 20-17.

I mean it's not really the 'transitive' property, it's the same team from one game to the next, playing away from home both games.

Texas is obviously better than we think.:omg::wtf2:

Or am I wrong??

how badly do you think Georgia Tech would beat Ohio State?

also, by your logic, you are implying that UVA is good, and we all know thats a pretty fucking stupid thing to imply

I think the point is: UCLA scored way more points against Arizona State than they did against Texas because Hundley was playing.

That has nothing to do with Texas not having their own starting quarterback, who does NOT play defense for Texas.
