Ok, since 1217 and I are the two furthest Huskers that are planning to make this event, and we both apparently have some flexibility as to which weekend, maybe we should have a vote.

I was thinking the week we play Tennessee-Chat because that is labor day weekend and I could save a day of vacation time, and my family would have an extra day off work in order to make me sammiches and sech and have the joy of visiting with me.

1217 says he can do either game, and I can do either game, so what works best for you locals? I don't know if any of you locals might be venturing outside of the area for the 3 day holiday weekend.

My vote is for Sep 3rd against Tennesse-Chat

Also, the other thing talked about, mostly briefly on the main water cooler board, but is anyone seriously interested in a road trip to Madison?

I would be interested in that as well. I was thinking about a baseball trip to Chicago and watch my Dbacks play in Milwaukee and St. Louis centered around the 4th of July, but don't think I will be doing that. But a weekend trip to Madison would be cheaper and definitely appealing.....first Husker win in the Big Ten and all......
