Nice shot by Heurtas but left too much time on the clock and the Blazers tie the game at the half. I am out. Work tomorrow. I hope this is our first win this preseason.

And, after Kelly throws the ball away on an inbounds pass ala last year's type of play, he redeems himself this year with a game winning dunk. Yep, that dunk might have saved his roster spot and we get our first win.

wish i coulda stayed up and watched ALL the game, but i do like what i see outta Huertas. good floor leader and a pass first kinda point guard. athletically won't keep up with a lotta point guards, but still not too shabby...

:lol:as much as i've hated Ryan Kelly i had to admit that last play was spectacular...

Yea CL67. I think the infusion of new talent and another year with B.Scott has this team going in a better more contender-like direction. Agreed a bit on Kelly but even he is playing much better than anything we saw of him last year. He is healthy to start the season for a change and he is not making nearly as many mental mistakes.

There are so many good things happening and the FO has removed most of the panty-waste we had last year. I mean the FT shooting has immensely improved, Clarkson's improvement is glaring, the beast-mode of Randle, Hibbert has returned to form (mostly mental) in had earlier in his career in Indy, the find of Heurtas, a class self-less team guy that gets after you all the time and passes first, Russell's emergence, Upshaw's redemption and progress, the ever-present demand for excellence by Kobe, B. Scott has grown, the hiring of Tracy Murray and his effect on the shooting of players is really evident, and on and on it could be chronicled.

I think we have finally turned a very good corner and this team is going to be pretty darn good. I suspect we may surprise a bunch of folks this year all the while many of us who have been waiting will proudly smile and inwardly state: "I told you so".

I liked what I've seen so far, including some of the earlier losses against Utah and Sacramento.

Preseason is all about learning. We all know guys like Clarkson and Randle, Russell probably too, will get close to 40 minutes a game during the regular season, so why tire them out now? Also good to see some of the new guys work.

I think we'll surprise quite a few people too but like I said months ago, I don't care so much this season about wins or losses, more about the young players development.

I like what I see from this team so far. I am starting to see light at the end of this losing tunnel.

yeah, we aren't quite close to contender level yet, but the step in the right direction imo is pretty evident based on what i've seen so far. who knows, maybe we're just a couple of seasons away...?

We are down early and Steph Curry is in mid-season form. Russell needs to learn transition defense. He has gotten lost on several trips down the floor and Curry has made him pay badly.

What the hell is Kelly wearing on his head? He has a hair restrainer like women in the 50's used to wear to keep their bangs out of their eyes. Good heavens that is unbelievable.

Sweet Lou Williams and the Swag occupy the backcourt. They are both doing well together.

Beautiful behind-the-back-pass to Kelly on the high post give and go by Heurtas. Kelly missed the lay-in. He was fouled.
