Game Thread: tOfficial Lakers Pre-Season Games Thread

If memory serves, we did one thread for the pre-season games last year and I know we did one thread for the summer league.

Thought I'd get the pre-season games thread started since the first game is Sunday and I'm sure that at least a couple of us will post on them.

Figure once the regular season starts, Lakersboy can start his game threads for the individual games.

Cowherd said this morning that he thinks it will definitely happen. So that's probably the kiss of death, especially combined with Stephen A.

I tend not to believe anything until Woj says it anyway.

They said last night on the Time Warner Channel that Randle was playing a lot better now that both he and Upshaw were still out of sync in the summer league and were really getting to be beasts on defense. Lets hope some one told the truth

I think that if he is smart(he might not be as smart as I think) that he will keep quiet and say nothing. When the summer comes if the Lakers has improved enough to be an actual playoff time or close enough that with his presence(The Lakers) they would become a playoff team and contenders - that he will give them a consideration. Especially if Kobe were to take a back seat, retire but come in as an assistant coach or possibly be a player coach for continuity. If the Lakers haven't made big improvements - Durant is long gone and I personally think Oklahoma has lost him already.

Exactly.

Well, everyone has been clamoring for the Lakers to sign a big-name FA. This will be yet another opportunity that they can redeem themselves after this last FA cycle and the subsequent disasters (depending on your opinions) that ensued.

Looks like Kobe will be starting alongside Russell and Randle tonight.
