We keep being told how good the Ram defense is...but is it really?

That DL is legit & can change games, but the rest of the defense outside of Ogletree, isn't very good.

Stupid, stupid, stupid move by the Rams. Did they not learn how bad these lopsided trades end up with their deal with the Redskins?

I thought this was a joke thread........Gotta give it to the Titans, this was the best possible way to handle the #1 pick IMO

I think the Titans go defense with the 15th pick. Either the #2/3 CB or a DL.

Yep...Rams were fleeced badly here imo, no 2nd rd or 3rd this yr...no 1st or 3rd next yr....they do have two 4th.

TN at 15 seems like no mans land unless they go after Billings...I'm curious if they don't try to trade back into the top 10.
They could easily package a 2nd and move into the top 10, or package two 2's for a second #1.....or both lol. Plus two 1's next year to build around their young QB. Plus, don't forget they added Murray. They could build up that D and OL and look salty a couple of years down the road

With Tennessee already having their QB Marcus Mariota in place all they have to do now is set about plugging some of the holes on the roster. This no doubt speeds up the rebuilding process a lot. Great day to be a Titans fan and besides i honestly dreaded us taking Laremy Tunsil the guy is injury prone and has some off the field issues so i'm glad thats out of the realm of possibility now. I did want Ramsey though....

The current Rams DEF has what I would call "good bones"...if the idea is to build a DEF from the inside out...they have the inside already in place and need to get the back end fixed...in addition to the OFC pcs they need...short term I don't see the Rams being much better than a 8 or 9 win team.

They can't miss on any top 100 pick the next couple of years and the must get production from FA.

This just makes me think that guys like Lynch/Cook won't be around when the Cardinals draft @ #30.

When was the last time the Rams were anything but a sub .500 team? This doesn't change that even if Wentz turns out to be a good NFL QB. Good NFL QBs still struggle to win games with poor pieces around them.

I would have have gambled with one of the other QB prospects & saved all those picks.

So with the Rams and Browns likely to both choose QBs, my Chargers essentially have the #1 pick in the draft, since they were never considering QBs. Hopefully Tunsil will be the last left tackle Rivers has for the rest of his career.

Risky but bold move by the Rams. Titans made out like bandits. I could see this working well for both teams, but when you have Mariota and all those picks - wow. Watch out.

Teams don't often get an opportunity like this...the Rams and Browns both blew their chances to turn the franchise around completely over a 2 or 3 yr period....now we get to see what TN does.

One thing that you can't do is flood the team with draft picks and hope they all blossom...they need quality players...if I need to sacrifice a pick or two to move around and get top shelf talent...that's what I do.

Yep, this is good for the Chargers. Heck anyone looking at Ramsey as an elite CB might be willing to offer the Chargers a good deal to move back a few spots.

Agreed, this was not a good move for LA, but obviously they felt there was enough separation from QB2 and QB3 on this board to make this deal...I don't.

I get the QB part, but I would've stayed at 15 and taken Lynch...43, they probably could've taken the #1 TE off the board...Henry, and maybe Kyle Fuller, CB at 45....I don't get this for the Rams.

Spot on...with LeBeau there...that tells me they are committed to a 3-4...that's why I go Billings at 15 and come back to one of the OTs @ 33....they are not terrible at OLB with Morgan and Orapko...at 43, S, and 45 a young OLB like a Calhoun

My reason for passing on Conklin...the only guy in this draft that would unseat Lewan @ LT would be Tunsil...all the others are destined for RT....I don't see enough separation in that 2nd tier of OTs to leave a plug and play NT on the board.

I think Orak, Morgan, Casey is a heck of a start to a 43 DL.

It's not explosive, but solid.

I'm not worried about LB, look at what lebeau did with guys like Harrison and Woodley.

Would love to see an explosive NT mixed in with Big Jurrell.
